    Turbo Vado Kickstand too long

My Como has the same kickstand and lately, it had been easily falling over as if the kickstand was too short! So I took a look and discovered a piece of the plastic end had broken off. I wish it were adjustable. I’m going to look into the one GuruUno mentioned.

Computer on 2020 Como 5 resets time when turned on/off

Some photos of twisting the display and removing the battery. I see a USB-B micro port in there. I wonder what that is for.

Computer on 2020 Como 5 resets time when turned on/off

I was able to pry the battery out with a small flat screwdriver. The battery went flying though!

Computer on 2020 Como 5 resets time when turned on/off

Yes, it was easy to get to the battery - just twist the display 90 degrees and it comes off the bike, then I used a flat screwdriver to pry open the battery access. I replaced the battery and all is well. Thank you all for your help. I took it in for the firmware update too and they charged me...

    Turbo Connect Display Update Mode

Or it might cost $30 like it just did for me! I wish there was a way to do it myself. I update the firmware on my work drone, why not my e-bike?

Computer on 2020 Como 5 resets time when turned on/off

Thanks! It is odd that the mileage is retained. Oh well. I'll try changing the display battery. But I'll also take it to the LBS to get updated (and drool over the newer Como models).

Computer on 2020 Como 5 resets time when turned on/off

I've searched the forums for this issue, but either I'm not using the correct terms or others haven't experienced this issue. I apologize if it is mentioned elsewhere and hope someone will direct me to any existing threads. I've had my Como 5 for 2 years and haven't had any issues until this...

Got the new Como 5.0 for the wife---and now me too :)

Wow! I love the new look. I have a Como 5 that I bought in July 2020 and I definitely prefer the design of your wife's. The battery is difficult to access on mine because of the downtube (see photo). Though I do love my Como. It is a great car replacement!

    New Como 3.0 issue

I'm having similar issues with my new (bought in July 2020) Como 5.0. It happens about 1 out of every 3-4 times I turn on the bike and I just turn the bike off and back on again to fix it (works every time). I have not looked at the computer when it happens, so I'll be sure to do that. And I'll...

    Como 4 vs Como 5

Hi! You may have already decided, but here's my 2 cents. I live in a Colorado mountain town with lots of big hills. I test rode the Como 4.0 low entry in town, up and down hills. I think it did really great and provided plenty of assist even on the hills. However, I ended up buying the 5.0...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I just wanted to post an update since I'm new to this club too. I have my Ibera rack installed and panniers attached. I'm so excited! I've had the panniers for at least 15 years but they happen to match the Como so well.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I have the Como 5 and I thought they were pretty similar, though I see they have different shifters. On my bike, the indicator is on the right near the shifters. The indicator has a red bar on it in this photo and it moves left for higher gears and right for lower. Still have to guess a bit...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Thanks for the heads up on the Kuat Transfer. My partner has a Specialized hitch-mount rack, not sure which model, that maybe will work better. Fortunately, I won't have to carry it on a car rack very often!

    rear rack install x2

Woohoo! Installing the Ibera PakRak Touring Carrier Plus on my bike was pretty straightforward. I bought the non-disc brake mount version and longer screws based on Sanders post and it fits really well. I'm so excited because I bought this to be my car replacement for in-town errands like...

    rear rack install x2

Based on your post - and your Como 4 photo - I bought the Ibera carrier. It looks to be high quality! I'm excited to install it, but I need to get the longer screws/bolts. Anyway, thanks for posting this!

I was surprised to see this on my Como too. I'm glad because I will be putting a rear rack on like you did. Which rack do you have?

Turbo Como 5.0 Low Entry attachment points on battery cover

There is very little clearance for the attachment points on the battery cover - about 1.5 inches. I was hoping to put a folding lock there, but I don't think one will fit. The Foldylock Compact is apparently 1.5" when folded up and not in its case and the case probably adds another 0.75" or so...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Nice! I saw a photo of this setup in another thread - maybe yours? I'm going to see if my LBS has the Topeak Explorer. I want to be able to use some Deuter panniers I already have. I'll take them with me to make sure.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Picked up my Como 5.0 on Saturday. Didn’t really fit in my rack very securely (Kuat Transfer 2), so I ended up putting it inside my car for my 6 hour drive back home. I am in love! I picked up an 18” pizza today and used bungees to strap the box to the pizza rack. Worked great! I’m looking for...

    Carrying a Como

Well, the Kuat Transfer does not work well with the fenders on the Como. I ended up having to put my bicycle inside my car to transfer it from Denver to Durango in Colorado. It will take some modification to the wheel tray to make it work. If I come up with something that works, I’ll post here...
