    Vancouver BC hotel/riding info request

    It’s a dual-purpose separated seawall track,pedestrian and cyclist,and tends to be bumper-to-bumper on a bike.Except the glorious off-season.Enjoy every moment!

Yet another "Careful of DOST Bikes" warning

I became aware of Dost in the context of googling Radpower (three years hence) and consistently and weirdly getting Dost as the first result. They’d somehow hijacked the Radpower results. When I complained to them about it,they answered “That means our plan is working.”

    Bicyclist collides with a bear!

So it goes.Bears I’ve seen in that area are generally foraging for blackberries, minding their own business.Still, probably not Gentle Ben types If confronted. This river valley would be primo turf for overnight stays were it not for our furry friends.

    Bicyclist collides with a bear!

They’re commonplace there,so I avoid the excellent Seymour trail during pre-and-post-hibernation.

A most amazing paved ex-service road. It’s common to see bears in that area, along with deer If you’re lucky.

Have to pedal like crazy to reach max speeds.... wrong gearing?

Perhaps installing a larger chainring would resolve the issue.I resolved my own ghost-pedaling situation by leaning on the throttle.
