People with reduced mobility find a step-through easier to use. The downside is frame flex, which can be considerable on rough surfaces going 15 mph and faster. I would not want less rigidity than my sport provides.

Going to 11 teeth would produce about an 8% reduction in top gear pedaling rate, which should be a noticeable but not huge difference. I don't know if there are 8-speed gear setups with fewer than 11 teeth, so any more pedaling speed reduction may require a larger crank gear.

Either fewer teeth on the smallest gear at the rear or more teeth on the gear at the pedals should do the trick w/o affecting the controller.

If you come up with a useful replacement, let us know. I'd like longer top gearing for higher speeds. I find that high speed pedaling reduces my control of the bike.

What alarm is it?

Fortunately, the stickers on the fork come off easily.

On my blue sport, Espin is painted on.

I cannot vouch for longevity, but there is very little about the Espin Sport that needs improvement from my experience - better tires, pedals, perhaps.

I've had no problems with spokes, but I weigh a hundred pounds less than you . Perhaps Espin's specced capacity [275#] is inflated. Have you contacted the company?

Do your new pedals spin more freely than the stock ones?

I'd talk with espin before using a different charger. Mine gets warm, but not enough to concern me.

Have you found that the sport pedals do not spin freely? I am considering replacing mine.

Perhaps cruiser handlebars like on the flow would suit your riding style better.

The espin manual says the battery works best when charged often. "It is always a good idea to charge the battery," it reads.
