    Do I Need A Chain/Bash Guard Like This ? ( Biktrix )

I love the bash guard for keeping my pants outta the gears though... Not a problem with belt drive though.

    Watt Wagons Labs! 3000 - 5000W Ultra!

You will have no control over the zero torque available once you break your drivetrain. What I think you want is a stronger drivetrain to keep up with the stronger motor. However, what I'm recognizing is that the drivetrain is a limiting factor at low speeds, and that you're not getting the...

    Watt Wagons Labs! 3000 - 5000W Ultra!

I agree it sounds strange, but as a long time automotive enthusiast, I can tell you that ICE motors are so much more fun to drive...and it's precisely because the torque increases with RPM. When you're near the limit of grip and accelerating out of a corner, the increase in torque requires you...

    Watt Wagons Labs! 3000 - 5000W Ultra!

So is the higher wattage achieved with higher amperage or higher voltage? I think the part of the torque curve that is more interesting is at the higher RPMs where back EMF (battery voltage) tends to be the limiting factor on power delivered. Have you looked at changing out the ratio of the...

    Helios

Is there an option for both front and rear light to be hard-wired? I see this description on the website, but it's really confusing: It's also not clear how the description corresponds to the dropdown lists: Headlight: Lezyne Macro 1000 =Lezyne 1000XXL and is hardwired? 1800i = Lezyne...

    Helios

Ya, but what's up with the price? $5300 for the base version? Totally not worth it. Every time there's a change to the website, the price just keeps on increasing.... Doesn't build a lot of confidence in the company, especially when they claim to be future proof to avoid buyer's remorse...

Ideal display for Watt Wagons (future feature)

Hmmm, that would be great to see the power output of the human and a way to log it too. That would put to rest all the people that think an ebike reduces your exercise, haha ;) There's already a torque sensor on the crank.... That should be a simple thing to accomplish, even if it's not...

    Watt Wagon Test Drive

Ya, I'm aware there are lower cost versions, but the config I'm interested in is ~$9k after tax and shipping. And even at $4k+, that's a lot for a blind purchase. I've been shopping around to do a custom bike with local builders and it's a very similar price. I enjoy a good road trip and...

    Watt Wagon Test Drive

Is there a way to test drive the Watt Wagon bike before purchasing? I've been on the fence about a fully decked out Ultimate Commuter Pro coming out in October, and just can't bring myself to drop ~$9k on a bike without a test drive. Any idea when these can be seen in person? And what's the...

Why Put 12 Speed Groups On Bafang Ultra Bikes?

I'd really like to see a mid mount transmission for these E-Bikes and get the unsprung weight off the rear wheel... And I totally agree the 11/12 speed cassettes are causing more harm than good with the extra power from the motor. I only use 3 or 4 gears on my 11s Bafang 1500W bike. I have...

Ideal display for Watt Wagons (future feature)

I'd like a feature that sets the motor assist based on target distance. If I want to do 50 miles, then I want maximum motor assistance that will get me to that 50 mile mark as fast as possible, which means ending with a near empty battery. I'd also like to see battery health tracking. We know...

First round of motors with Archon controller going out this week!

I have the same Bafang motor in my Biktrix bike. I want to swap out the controller until the new WW bike is available. When I get the new WW bike, I'll put the stock controller back into the Biktrix and use the Archon in the WW.

First round of motors with Archon controller going out this week!

If we purchased the Archon to upgrade an existing non-WW bike, then is there a way to purchase a future bike and transition the controller over? I'm waiting for the bike coming out this October but would love to play with the Archon ahead of time. I just don't want to purchase it twice...

My Ultimate Commuter Update @ 849 miles

I have a Biktrix Juggernaut Ultra fat tire bike with the same Bafang motor. Early on the free wheel clutch broke inside the crankset, which I fixed myself. I think I have 1500 miles now in 18 months. I've had at least a dozen flat tires, two broken chains, and 3 sets of brakes. I ride really...

My Ultimate Commuter Update @ 849 miles

How fast are you typically riding? I do about the same mileage, but it's all city for me.... So I go thru 3 sets of brakes over that distance. You haven't even had a flat tire over all this time??? That's amazing. Were any of the bolts loose when you checked?

My Ultimate Commuter Update @ 849 miles

Nice! What's your maintenance been like over this period? How long did it take you to hit >800 miles?

    Connected app; on-board navigation

+1 on the phone app. It'd be nice to have an option for USB charging for the long distance rides. Is there a roadmap for a GSM version too? Or just BLE? GSM would add location tracking and remote monitoring that you couldn't get with BLE.

Got my first flat on my Ultimate Commuter Pro

There's always your LBS... or I've seen a few YouTube videos on using your phone to tension the belt.

Talk About The Kindernay Gear System

I'd like to see the transmission built into the mid-drive motor. Something like a Pinion drivetrain? I know that sounds like a motorcycle, but there are reasons why they build the transmissions that way...
