Dragged to Rivington by the missus, I'm only the silly bike and straight away I was shown its limitations by some guy riding up these steps on an emtb like he was riding to the shops. Got my own back on the smoother trails, the wife delights on pointing out to everyone I'm on an electric...

Went on a ride in Lancashire with the missus, found this on a steep cobble hill.

Grin Freegen regen on geared hub

Watch the entire thing, its practically revolutionary in its ability and mechanical simplicity, you mount the disc rotor to the planetary carrier of a geared hub and let the electronics chang between regen and friction braking depending on the battery charge state.

Well it looks like you have good support for your grievance, my usual experience of bad organisation is when the wife is doing triathalons and there is no help whatsoever for the entire process, just hundreds of people all asking strangers where the start is and finding out 2 mins before the gun...

I have fallen out with the race organizers who could not take my critics of the inclusion of MTB singletracks in the Rookie Race So Stefan was this measured critique or did you go on the bounce still sweating from the race 😂 I speak as someone very likely to do the latter and regret it later 😳

    My life was threatened....

I will admit to giving the finger to endless Greek drivers, they are utterly indifferent to cyclist safety and have no clue how to overtake. They just sit two inches off your rear tyre and then start blowing the horn and abusing you. Luckily they are very french in conflict, they just mumble...

Ah, so THAT'S what's holding me back!

Theres the thing, I would say offroad a throttles entire use is to prevent pedal strikes, this allows you to hit harder and steeper and faster by keeping momentum. Riders who have the expertise to conquer extreme trails while pedalling truly are the fittest, but it should never be allowed on...

    intersting way of charging

All chargers charge at higher voltage, measure the output from the charger, it should be around 54 volts for a 48v battery, if you connect it to your discharged battery at say 49 volts, the output will drop to the battery voltage. Chargers are current limited, but enough amperage...

Ah, so THAT'S what's holding me back!

The effort of dealing with the terrain is more than any pedalling I do, Stefan often ribs me for using a throttle, but it has the effect of requiring more effort to deal with the physics of balance and impact. I'm quite often exhausted without using the cranks once. I'd need a full body watt...

When you nonchalantly ride up to a 200ft straight drop for a peek and then remember you have no brake disconnects and you are actually wired to the bike via your backpack.

Ah, so THAT'S what's holding me back!

I did a 31.30 10 mile time trial at 17 on a pretty standard steel bike running tubs. I trained for it and was so hyped, the first five miles I felt like I was being pushed by a car. Its not bad for someone who didnt race and just mainly rode weekends on 100 mile rides at a steady slow pace.

Charging Battery - 4 AMP to Watts?

I upgraded from 2A charging to 4A, I checked the charge current and it was spot on 4A, I was expecting half the charge time, the reality was it was only 2/3rds for a complete charge. The more you put in, its even harder for the ions to find a parking space
