    2023 EXPLORE E+ 1 GTS

Nice looking bike. BTW, my lbs suggested I cut off the front part of the front fender so the bike rack clamp fits securely against the stem. Apparently there have been cases where bikes with front fenders have come loose on bumpy roads. I took their advice for peace of mind.

Giant Road E+ and Revolt E+

The Revolt E+ shows up on the Canadian site.

    Drain Battery Every 3 months:

I agree. My LBS said it was okay to charge after every use.

Cut through grip end on 2019 La Free?

A mirror that attaches to your glasses or helmet is an option. Less vibration distortion. Road behind is easily checked with minimal turning of head. I’ve used mine on extensive tours across Canada and the US. Saved my bacon more than once. I won’t leave home without it.

Giant Road E+ review and questions

I, on the other hand, love the smaller sprocket. Having it allows me to climb in a lower gear and lower power assist, with less battery depletion, thus increasing my range. Granted, that means I’m not flying up the hills, but my legs get the workout I used to enjoy on my acoustic road and...

2021 Giant Explorer E+ 2 GTA Review (North American)

I have a 2020 Explore E+ STA with the 500W battery. I ride almost exclusively in Eco, and Eco+ on steeper hills, and the battery readout indicates a range of 150 kms. I recently completed a 100 km loop in Eco and Eco+ modes, and had 20% battery left.

Trying to decide between a Roam E+ GTS and a Roam Explorer+ 2 GTS

I have a 2020 Explore E+ 2 STA, which is the step-through. I’m 75, and enjoy not having to lift my leg over the crossbar. I use the Explore for gravel/road rides and everyday commuting/shopping. The fenders, rack, and lights are a bonus. The two chainrings up front give me lots of choice in...

    Explorer +2 tail lite issues

Interestingly enough, today I had issues with the rear light on my 2020 Explore E+2, but in my case one of the wires pulled loose from the bottom of the light. I must have dislodged it when mounting panniers on the rack. The whole setup looks fragile, and quite Mickey Mouse given the bike is...

    Ride Control Firmware

I agree. With the 50/34 chainring on my Explore E+ 2, I’m using the gears as I do on my Specialized Roubaix, shifting according to road conditions, and staying mostly in Eco mode and up to Eco+ for climbing. For me, it’s the bike-riding experience I enjoy, and getting 150km per charge is a bonus.

Explore E+ 1 GTS frame size differance

You’re right. I just haven’t asked my LBS about making the switch.

Explore E+ 1 GTS frame size differance

I have a 2020 Explore E+ 2 STA. I love the step-through, but am not a fan of the wide handlebars, especially on long rides. I’m more comfortable with the drop bars on my road and touring acoustic bikes. Drop bars on a STA would be the best of both worlds. IMHO

    2021 EXPLORE E+ 2 GTS / STA

Looks like the main differences between my 2020 Explore E+ 2 STA and the 2021 models are the colour, less step-through room since the bar is higher, and braze-ons for a water bottle cage which is a nice addition, but which may impact step-through foot clearance. Oh, and the price, of course.

    Giant Explore vs Liv Amiti

I have the 2020 Explore E+ 2 STA with the Sport motor and display. Today I rode a 100 km loop, 80/20 road/gravel, elevation gain of 1081m, and still had 34% battery left! The ride was supposed to enable the 3-month battery depletion schedule, but I messed things up by riding in ECO, and when...

    2020 Giant Explore E+ 2 GTS, I think I found my bike!

I’ve had my Giant Explore E+ 2 STA for a couple of weeks, and love it. I’m getting on in years, 73, and although my carbon road bike and steel touring have regular frames, I’m finding I have to lean them way over in order to swing my leg over. The Explore is for running errands, etc, so instead...

    Hi from Kamloops, British Columbia.

When my planned six-week bike tour up the Underground Railway from Mobile, Alabama to Niagara Falls, NY was cancelled due to COVID-19, I decided to use the tour refund to purchase an ebike. I found that although I can still climb the many hills in my area, it’s not as much fun as it used to be...
