Yeah Einstein, he mentioned that they are hub (rear) motors. Also, not sure what "compoents" are. To the OP...RAD has a HUGE following for a reason, sell many, many bikes and have an excellent reputation for customer service after the sale. They also have many models on Court's 'best-of' list...- DEMBONES

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?
Pretty much identical to the OP. LBS thinks bad batch of motors from Yamaha. It continues to creak even with new motor. Giant told them to put shims between the motor and frame. The shop just tried that and it didn't solve the problem.- DEMBONES

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?
My Quick E+ is on it's SECOND motor (under warranty) and the noise is starting again with less than 500miles. This will be my last Giant bike.- DEMBONES
