    Chain ring tooth selection

The Vado batteries all cost about $900, but to buy a bike with a small $900 battery and replace it with a larger $900 would be a waste of money. I would pay $100 extra for a larger battery when I buy a new Specialized Vado 3.0

    Chain ring tooth selection

I wish Specialized offered the option of upgrading the Vado 3.0 and 4.0. So far I've replaced the seat, seat post, front and rear brakes, sprocket, chain and chair guard. Now I have a lot of discarded parts. Also the ability to buy a larger battery would be nice. Replacing the 40t sprocket with...

New Member - Looking into switching from road bike to e-bike

I am a 78 year old with very little bike experience. I went with a Specialized Vado 3.0 and upgraded it to my riding style and liking. To make the bike suited to me, I added a wider soft gel seat, a Redshift ShockStop seat post and a 48 tooth front sprocket. I can now cruise all day long at 20...

    Chain ring tooth selection

I have a Turbo Vado 3.0 . The best upgrade (for me) was to have my LBS change out my 40 tooth sprocket for a 48 tooth sprocket. It only cost me about $20. Bike mechanic labor charges are generally very reasonable for their customers.

2020 Turbo Vado - Early Impressions!

I was concerned about the smaller battery on the Vado 3.0 vs. the larger batteries on the Vado 4 and 5, but after owning my Vado 3.0 for the past 3 months, I find the Vado 3.0 battery very adequate for my 5 to 25 mile rides. And with the money I saved I was able to make the following...

    Don’t buy a specialised Levo

I luv my Vado 3.0, except for an update on the app. a week after buying the bike, no problems. I did change out the 40 t front sprocket for a 48 t sprocket so that I could maintain desired speeds with less effort. I also changed out the seat for a larger one and added a Shock Stop seat post for...

    Turbo Vado 3.0 - Confirmed 28mph

I agree. The simple solution to maintain 28-30 mph on a Vado 3.0 without high speed peddling is to change out the smaller 40 t sprocket for a 48 t sprocket. This also means you have less peddling at all speeds. I'm 78 years old and this minor change makes riding at all speeds very enjoyable. Not...
