I got an answer to my question from Ride1up.

I am curious to the circumference size of the down tube on the CF Racer 1, I've looked online for a bit, can't seem to find it. Could someone please measure the circumference of the down tube on their CF Racer 1? I would like to see how it compares to a Specialized Turbo Vado SL 4.0 down tube.

Fantastic work, and it looks great! Can you give more details on how you did your build? I want a CF Racer myself, buy haven't pulled the trigger yet because of the drop bars.

Well, I am looking for a bit more power when needed, as the 700 could use more torque for the hills. I will go for the kit then with the new display and see how that goes.

My motor shows SY2248700CTH0117PS1. Not sure whether to give the different controller a try since I have one of the earliest versions.

You have a different model than mine. I have the earlier version which I am going to guess cannot be upgraded.

Thanks for responding slaphappy. Do you have a picture of what your original display looked like? I bought two 700's at the very end of Dec 2019, and would like to upgrade if possible.

Nice job! You should make a short video of the lights in action. I wish a system like this came with bikes when purchased, I would like it as I do a lot of street riding with autos.

I have sent two emails to wexgear.com about Frey ebikes. I have not heard back yet. Is that how others contacted him?

FREY is out of the front fork on the CC, and are looking at Dec for more stock of that part. You can still have the bike built and use your own fork of similar specs, according to FREY. Did you order the EX yet?
