I’m not so sure Jeremy is lazy. Some peoples Scottish accents are completely incomprehensible to me too! 😀.

That’s a coincidence…..51% is the number of the UK population who voted to come out of the EU. I’m not really being fair as they are not all stupid….sadly just a little gullible perhaps. Anyway everyone knows that the Americans, Polish or even the English don’t speak English properly. That...

Thanks for that. Very useful. I’ve ordered the switch!

What switch did you use for the light? It really annoys me that I can’t decide that I want to have the light off particularly when touring and often can’t charge the main battery at night. I know it’s negligible draw but at times every watt counts (in my mind anyway 😄).

    VADO 2026?

Yes you could well be right as the picture looks not dissimilar to an sl2 but with a removable battery. If you click the link there is quite a bit of detail Given.

    VADO 2026?

yes the idea of loosing a few K by having rigid forks makes sense for me particularly if most riding is on road. Saying that in UK ‘on road’ is probably the equivalent of most EU countries gravel!! As you said tyre inflation is in itself good suspension for road rides.

    VADO 2026?

https://www.bike-ev.com/reviews/specialized-turbo-vado-review-2026/ This looks like a mix of SL2 (no suspension forks) and current Vado. 2.2 motor and 710 battery. If it’s real and not from someones wish list! Any ideas?

    ShockStop Stem on Vado SL

was it anything similar to this? Installed tightly no lower than the rim for safety. There are various stub light mounts that work ok. https://uk.ortlieb.com/cdn/shop/files/productimage-f9966-2.jpg?v=1736937978&width=2000 with

    New Old Bike Day

Yes you’re right about using the bars. if I’m using a range extender I just put a bottle in a feed bag. A handy position that works well

    New Old Bike Day

SKS sell bottle cage mounts on straps that work ok. Ortlieb have O straps that are a bit like Voile and it’s possible to get them really tight. https://us.ortlieb.com/cdn/shop/files/productimage-f9966-2.jpg?v=1737542759&width=2000 These can be placed anywhere on the bike and work well.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I agree! What I really want/need is a lightweight (preferably Specialized) bike that I can take the battery out for charging when staying at hotels or B&B on tour. I currently have to take a couple of range extenders and set the bike to use them first to preserve the built in battery charge.

Ive used quadlock for many years over long European tours and they have been bombproof! As mentioned they can be a little fiddly to engage at times for no apparent reason but once in place totally secure.

Nowhere near as frustrating as your issues Vado5 but I thought i was heading for a new motor on my Creo 1 recently and was bracing myself for a big bill for replacement as it’s well out of warranty. Every time i stood up on the pedals the bike would quite loudly creak….and as we all know the...

    Creo 2 Flat Bar Conversion

I also saw a report saying that testing showed that a higher position was overall more aerodynamic as the elbows can more easily be tucked and forearms kept horizontal for a longer period of time without exhaustion. I’m not sure such things are a concern to us older guys though!
