That’s very interesting - thanks for sharing!

    2021–2022 Riese & Müller Homage

Hi, I’m curious why you also installed the Kinekt 2.1 on the Homage? Was the rear suspension not enough travel? Don’t these work against eachother a little bit? Thanks.

2020 R&M Tinker Vario CX Orange for sale (NYC area)

If you are in the NYC area, I am looking to sell my Tinker Vario CX purchased from Propel in 2020. It has 350 miles on it, and was last updated/tuned/checked by Propel in October before I put it away for winter. Moving to a bigger place so no longer need a compact bike. This bike ran me $6000...

    2021 Riese & Müller Tinker

It all makes sense now.. this will be on the new Tinkers in short order. Perfect for it, high speed, not as much torque as the gen 4, and little drag due to 1:1 relationship.

Vektron S10 with Performance Line (2021) or Active Line Plus (2020)?

This new iteration from Tern is a miss in my opinion, but still grateful that there is a manufacturer out there making institutional-backed, high quality folding bikes with proper testing and proper engines from Bosch. The Vektron is an awesome bike and should have been fitted with a belt/gear...

Lectric has sold 20k+ bikes in a year, who's sold more?

Based in NYC here. My first electric bike was a Veego Semi Fat purchased on Thanksgiving 2018. Since then, I have upgraded to a $3700 Tern Vektron and now a $5300 Riese & Muller Tinker. The Veego was a fun ride, great looks, fun thumb throttle and somewhat reliable Bafang motor. In addition...

    2021–2022 Riese & Müller Homage

Although it has less travel suspension capabilities than the SD due to lack of GX shocks, the new Homage looks to be a better engineered bike as compared with the SD. Very little space was wasted in the Homage so to speak, the 1,250wh of well-concealed battery is insane, everything looks so...

    2021 Riese & Müller Tinker

I was hoping for one too. There is no Gen 4 performance line outside of the speed variant which is the same shape as the Gen 4 CX motor. I would at this point wait to see what Tern does with the Vektron. However I can’t imagine there would be a CX motor on it, maybe the same performance line gen...

    2021 Riese & Müller Tinker

Me too. I love my CX Gen 2 Orange Tinker and would have killed for these upgrades. My guess is the 85nm torque update rendered this motor too strong for the somewhat already squirrely 20" wheels, which also precluded R&M from giving a speed model given that the Gen 4 speed is also 85nm. And...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Congrats, makes sense to me! The Gen 3 motor would reduce weight, but the chain ring would increase in size to accomodate the 1:1 relationship, so it would look a little more clunky. It might be the last time to get a HS Tinker :)

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

I’d say wait for the new one, at the very least the older models might get discounted a bit. However, since R&M is made-to-order I am not sure if this principal applies. When the G2 Vektron S10 came out, the G1 went from $3799 to $2999. Does anyone know how legacy R&Ms are priced once new models...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Thank you! The reduction gear, enviolo, and gates belt combined create significant resistance past 20mph. It is not a HS pedelec so I wouldn’t go into the vario version with the mindset of going past 20mph. However, the CX torque is a treat, basically you are going either 20mph or 0 based on my...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Haha wow that was actually my brother!! I sold him my Vektron. He told me that he saw the bike I was getting on the greenway and that you guys chatted for a few mins. I’ve seen you before a couple of times, Tinker with panniers. Small world. I’ll be sure to say hi next time, should be easy to...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Congrats!! Yes it is incredible. Very fun to ride and feels much bigger than the Vektron as I rode both the same day (you can see itnin the photo). The CX motor is a treat

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Thanks for your reply. I have the Gen 1 Vektron and I find that the cockpit is not long enough (saddle rails are maxed out for length) and that the andros stem isn’t long enough to ride comfortably like an upright bike, yet it doesn’t feel long enough to ride more aero like a road bike. I am...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

I would probably do a 30 mile ride about 2-3 times a week. The S+ does have the automatic shifter, however the Tinker does have the HS option. Will definitely take a trip to Propel when things normalize.

    Smooth Welds?

I'm starting to see that smooth welds are becoming an advertisable new product attribute. The new MATE bikes have them I saw on IG, and I believe GoCycle uses this as well. Is this the new trend? I'm surprised Riese & Muller and Tern have not made their welds smooth (the SuperDelite, Nevo have...

Riese & Müller Tinker vs Tern HSD S+

Thank you all for the replies. It needs to be compact (20inch) with a similar wheel base as the Vektron to work in my space. I am mostly concerned about ride quality, I want something that rides comfortably and feels premium. My Vektron with Kinekt 2.1 isn’t the most comfortable for longer...
