Questions before I buy a Biktrix bike

Thank you for this. It is really helpful. So, with absolutely no knowledge of cycles, I don't know what reduction gears or a derailleur are. Totally willing to learn though. Is there anywhere I can go to to learn how I'm supposed to treat my ebike correctly? Wipe it down after a ride in the...

    Help with first time ebike

I see. What I was looking for was similar to pedego's bike except they have a fixed speed at each level. At eco for example, it takes you to 9mph as soon as you pedal irrespective of how fast you are pedaling. I would want maybe a analog based on how much force I'm using.

    Help with first time ebike

I know, Wouldnt buying one of these essentially mean that you just trust yourself to keep yourself safe. If I got one I wouldnt drive over 28 just cause laws. It's always nice knowing you have the option to burst out though, say either on roads where there is no-one(and US is huge, I'm sure...

    Help with first time ebike

That's the thing. I would want the bafang motors cause I've test driven a few 350W-500W motors, while they felt nice while climbing hills, they lacked the 'oomph' I was expecting.

    Help with first time ebike

Interesting. Can you pedal though (They have pedals for extra on Sur-Ron black, so it must be usable for something)

    Help with first time ebike

Interesting. I have a shop near me that sells a LaFree +1, but it comes with a chain drive. If I'm aiming for a belt drive I'd have to look elsewhere.

    Help with first time ebike

This makes sense. Imma go ride a yamaha. Do you know if any motor feels similar to a bafang that I can try before I make a decision.

Questions before I buy a Biktrix bike

I'm leaning towards either Juggernaut/Ultra right now, but I've got a few questions before I buy them. 1) How do the wheels fare in rainy season? I'm in Seattle and I want to drive 30-35 miles(2 way) even in rain, maybe slightly slower. Would I need better wheels? 2) How often would I need...

    Help with first time ebike

I see. This makes sense. So yamaha over bafang then? I've looked at yamaha and it seems much more costlier as compared to the equivalent I'd get on BikTrix, and people say Biktrix has great service. I do have a yamaha dealer near me though, which would make it easier for me if I try to get...

    Help with first time ebike

Ye giant is good. The motor is proprietary though, and I'm not sure if I like that. I'm looking for places near me that do sell them(I think I have one, which is really good for me)

    Help with first time ebike

Yes, I am seriously considering local sources, but I've test driven quite a few ebikes but none felt super satisfying. The best I felt was a Muller, but that is completely out of my budget range. I'm probably going to have to compromise if I do that. I'm working on understanding the motor...

    Help with first time ebike

I have spent forever searching for ebikes and am absolutely confused over what I should be buying. Here are a few things I am interested in : 1) I must have a mid-drive motor. I live in Seattle, and mid drives are so much more efficient in hill climbing. My commute takes me across quite a...
