    Lectric XP

I use them in all my bikes and haven't had a flat since. Not to say they're perfect but they definitely work for me. They're light weight and effective. Mr. Tuffy sells a 4" fat tire version for 27" wheels. I just trimmed the length a bit. Not too short though... The ends should overlap in the...

    Accessories for your XP

For flat prevention I installed Mr. Tuffy tire liners. I also inspected the rim tape and found sharp exposed spokes that rub against the tube on one wheel. Duct tape fixed that issue. Replacing/patching the rear tube on the side of the road would be challenging. An ounce of prevention is...

    Lectric XP

I had my tires off this morning to install Mr. Tuffy tire liners to help prevent punctures. I found the front rim tape wasn't covering three spokes. They were pretty sharp and would most likely cause a leak if not taken care of. I used duct tape around the whole rim as I didn't have rim tape...

Known Issues & Problems with Lectric eBikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

This isn't necessarily a problem specific to the Lectric XP, but check the rim tape. I had my tires off today and the tape on my front rim wasn't covering three spokes. They were quite sharp and I'm sure they would e caused a leak if I hadn't taken care of it. The back rim was fine. I...

    Lectric XP

I received a black model (Order 37XX) last week with those same changes. New latch for handlebar and body, sticky glue substance around the crank and pedal, rubber disc stuck to side of the battery to prevent rattles, and a rubber disc to prevent the handlebar latch from directly contacting the...

    Lectric XP

I'll have to try that. I don't think the cargo area is deep enough without putting a seat down though. Oh, I only have one bike. I was just hoping to keep the seat up so I can take my dogs and bike at the same time. Backup plan is to use my wife's Matrix. It should fit in there without...

    Lectric XP

No, it's the standard handlebar. I've measured the bike closer to 37" long and 22" wide. Height is the main problem for my hatch though. The roofline in the back dips down for a sporty look, which doesn't help practicality.

    Lectric XP

I was hoping I might be able to fit the Lectric XP in my Ford Focus hatch without lowering the seats. The actual folded dimensions seem to be larger than what was advertised. It would've been a tight fit regardless. Still, it can go in the back seat at least. I may have to play around with...

    Lectric XP

Mine has the exact same number. My guess is that it's a patent number. https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/a5/55/29/28328b55f632c2/CN202541772U.pdf

    Lectric XP

I got mine today and was curious about this as well. I can confirm the dimensions. I did get 4.3cm width though if you include the plastic lip on the end. With the lip, I'm seeing 43cm x 4.3 cm x 10.3 cm.

    Lectric XP

Has anyone verified the folded dimensions of the bike? I'm familiar with what Lectric states on the website, but I'm curious to see if anyone has verified that.

What do people do about tire punctures?

Yup, I did see that. I found the info on the tires below. https://www.csttires.com/us/tire/bft-c1752/ "Exceptional Puncture Safety offers an added layer of proprietary rubberized poly-fiber material between the tread and the casing. The tight weave of this lightweight, puncture-resistant...

What do people do about tire punctures?

Huh...I figured it had something to do with the material or thickness of the tire. I'll be taking the tires off later this week after I get my bike to check it out. I guess I'll see at that point. I wanted to at least check the rim tape to make sure the spokes don't contact the tube.

What do people do about tire punctures?

I've had good luck with Mr. Tuffy tire liners. I've put many miles on my current bike without a flat. I ordered some for my XP as well. These are for 26-29" tires, but I'm sure they can be trimmed down a bit. They're designed to have some overlap anyway. Fat Bike Tire Tube Protectors - Mr...
