    Quick-E+

Year and a half later (been doing WFH, not commuting), I got this and installed it on my Quick-E. It fits very well, thanks for the tip!

Your product link is not working any more -- curious the name/brand of the chain guide you got (just noticed URL mentions K-edge clamp-on road chain catcher, will search for that). I am looking at adding one, but my solution for chain getting jammed was having the LBS add a quick release chain...

Here's what I would try: Drill a hole into it and screw a small sheet metal screw part way into it. Pull on screw. Or once the hole is in it, you might be able to just pry it out with an awl or pick & hook tool.

To follow-up, I read up on the PW-X2, it looks like it mainly gives more power (less power drop-off, specifically) at high cadence (above 80-90 rpm) compared to the previous Yamaha motor. Also they got more sophisticated with an auto mode that adjusts boost level to account for slope as well...

As Stefan said, 28 mph is where the speed limiter kicks in. Maintaining any speed for a particular length of time of distance is dependent on conditions (wind and slope), your stamina, and the battery's capacity to boost your pedaling to that speed for that length of time (in other words, its...

I'm waiting about a week for a saddle to go halfway across America, so that's great. Wait, it doesn't give 6 Euros more riding joy!? ;)

I also wanted to avoid flats and put a liner in my tires. Yes, it adds weight and spinning weight at that, but we have E-motor to help accelerate that extra mass! Brand I used is California Bike Gear Stop Flats. I also replaced the one tube that had a puncture with a thorn proof tube (Giant...

Yes, I am also interested in possible suspension fork options. There's something special about the Giant head?

Same here, I am trying to avoid the highest gear more, run with a higher cadence and lower torque. At one time I was trying to beat my best time on my commute but I realize net travel time is affected as much by timing of traffic lights and various other traffic issues around the college campus...

    Giant quick e newby

Yeah, definitely make sure you're not in the "safe" mode or otherwise get it checked out at your LBS. Also see the long thread on the Quick-E here. Good tips from others' experiences being posted there. Enjoy tour e-ride!!

Thanks, that's an interesting solution. I did find that Race Face makes a N-W chainring up to 44T.

Saddle... What kind of saddle are people using on their Quick-E? The stock one is a bit hard and uncomfortable, though I only seem to notice when getting underway. Considering getting a Planet Bike ARS Standard Mens saddle.

Thought I'd report on my experiences after about 8 weeks of commuting on a 2019 Quick E+ (US).... First of all I love the ride!!, nice and smooth and with the e-help no worries about strong winds (common where I live) or hills (not many on my route). I am able to make a 10-mile commute through...

    Replacement Charger for 2018 Quick-E+?

I also am considering the Lunacycle Advanced Charger for a second charger to pair with the OEM (~4 amp) charger (one for home, one for the office); and seems like it might be better for the battery longevity. According to my LBS, the 2020's are going to ship with the Giant Smart Charger at a...
