Hi eBob, It's the continuous upside down U. I think if I go to the store early enough, I can chain it to the end of the U. I have a shwinn cruiser and have been doing that and so far so good.

That's a beautiful bike! All we have around here are the upside down U shaped bike racks. I think the basket is going to make it impossible to get much of the front tire in.

Thank you! I'm really concerned mostly how they handle repairs under warranty. It's pointless if the bike is initially inexpensive, but getting repaired under warranty is an arm and leg. I called them before I ordered and they assured me it would be repaired if necessary at their main facility...

I'm not to concerned where the sub components are made. As all companies get there components from overseas. This was Lectric headquarters
