Just my opinion, bike shops want flat repairs, they don't make any money if people prevent flats. I added slime to my tires while the battery was going through the first charge. I have used slime for years in other applications with great success and it sure hasn't hurt my bike in 300 miles.

Good chance the calipers were out of alignment when the bike was delivered causing the premature pad wear. Mine were terrible when delivered, squealed, hardly stopped, and pulsated on 2 XP's Had I not found the video on centering calipers, I am sure I would have gone through pads as fast as...

Have the calipers been centered? Mine were not upon delivery. What a difference centering the calipers made. Here is a 2.5 minute video that is perfect. I did everything on the bike using rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to clean the brake pads with alcohol. Loosen 2 screws, squeeze the...

I had my brakes off yesterday changing the freewheel and inspected them closely. Brakes looked fine, 280 miles, but I did notice a slight bend in the rotor. Have you checked the rotor for being true and centered the caliper? Saw on YouTube a caliper not centered will cause premature wear. It...

I was thinking the same thing. There has to be a reason beyond the battery(s). As for the brake pads, the video I see was in a downtown location. If there is a lot of traffic braking, I can see the brake pads wearing in a few hundred miles. The pads one inch square stopping 270 pounds. I see...

Strange about the battery problem. We weigh the same, same PAS numbers, I also ride flat streets and I am getting 25-30 miles per charge with no problem and have always made it home without a dead battery.

I would copy both your post and my answer and send them to your government representative. Believe me, US businesses hate the Canadian charges worse than you do. The $400 dollars were all charges to comply with Canadian rules and taxes. From what I was told, the next free Doctors appointment...

That is the exact reason, when I had my business, we quit shipping our product into Canada. Dealing with the Canadian Govt import charges and red tape for the customers wasn't worth the bad publicity and hassle. Also our Canadian customers refusing orders after they saw the duty and taxes...

It was a 2 week wait on the freewheel and 3 weeks on the tool. With the holidays, I was in no hurry , still haven't changed it yet, so the delivery time was fine with me. It's on my list to do this week.

The videos were awesome. Great to see that Lectric has listen to the forums and what people were saying. Then started making those corrections on new deliveries. Just reported on FB that one guys Dad just received his bike and nothing needed adjusting, it was perfect out of the box. As for...

Welcome to the forum. There were several posts on loose batteries and different fixes a few month ago. There should be several references in the seach tab.

Rob on this forum and the Facebook user group did a second battery modification that I thought was genius. Second battery is mounted to the rack. He purchased the plug to connect direct to the controller bypassing the main batter. The second battery does need a key switch to turn it off and...

After fighting getting the wheel back on, it's not going to be a roadside repair very easily. I purchased a flat repair kit and a CO2 inflater where I can patch the tube while still on the bike. Much easier to carry and a heck of a lot faster...

The wheels do have to be removed. The tires come off easy with tire levers, however the rear wheel is challaging to get back on. Several posts on methods to spread the frame to get the rear wheel back on. I used a long screwdriver as a pry bar against the brake hub and the gear hub on each...
