I found that as well...regarding total mileage. I’d be interested in seeing your fix for the charge port cover. My other concern with it is that the hinge will eventually break. It seems like pretty cheap plastic. However, it certainly doesn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the bike.

Quick update...just found out if I take the Kiox display off the bike and turn it on I get different information including total mileage.👍

Feel for you. Fed Ex did that to us with a piece of furniture. Had to steal it back out of the neighbors garage. I always go with UPS when possible. Aside from that enjoy your bike!

Drew, What frame / wheel size did you get? I test rode a couple today at their Bellingham store. I liked the 29” wheels, but the 17” frame felt small. The 18” frame felt better, but it looked smaller because of the 27.5 inch wheels. When did buying a bike get so complicated?🥺

The seat post, seat tube connection can definitely be a source of creaking. I checked that early on and even upgraded my seat post, always applying grease when I reinserted the post. It did help alleviate some creak. But the main source is definitely up front. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Sorry to hear. The Cross Core does have the old-style tapered axle on the bottom bracket, which is more susceptible to loosening up. You may want to check the bolt on that crank if you haven’t already. My creak is in the front of the bike. Originally it was diagnosed as a bad fork and I’m...

Test rides are a must. Another idea is to rent for 1/2 a day. Many shops do this and it’s a great way to really get a feel for the bike.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Tara! There is much I love about my Yamaha. Which is why the creak is so frustrating. I will be contacting Yamaha soon and going back to my LBS to get it resolved once and for all...I hope ?
