What are you thoughts on 2018 Haibike Models?

(Link Removed - No Longer Exists) I thought that Bosch powered bikes were limited to the standardized Bosch battery pack. What type (and capacity) of battery have they incorporated in this model?

Have you heard about Eon e-kickscooter?

If you look at their price list, they offer a spare 48volt 25 amp hour Panasonic battery pack for $279. I don't think anyone here would believe that price point is real. I also find that a 45mph speed on 8 or 10 inch tires on a minimally suspended scooter ( if attainable) is realistic or safe...

Turbo: The World's First $249 Electric Fat Bike

The images of the bike do not correlate to the description of the components and features. Even the video of the rider is not accurate to the description. The bike pics do not show a battery, a motor, a display, let alone a 21 speed drivetrain. The forks appear to be upside down sport bike...

    Potential breakthrough in Lithium-Sulfer batteries

The battery case will probably be physically taller or wider than one using 18650 cells. I don't see any benefit in shrinking the battery pack and the capacity, particularly on a 50 pound e bike. The trend and goal of adding additional range is the driving factor to battery cell innovation. I...

    Potential breakthrough in Lithium-Sulfer batteries

The article indicates a 40-60% increase in battery capacity. Assuming that Panasonic is pretty much in line with their battery design and chemistry, why such a low expectation for their new 36 volt battery packs (288-432 WH)?

    Potential breakthrough in Lithium-Sulfer batteries

Panasonic new 20700 cells Also Panasonic presented bigger battery cells at last week’s Eurobike. Their newly developed 20700 cell (20mm diameter and 70mm high) is in particular targeting e-MTBs that have downtube mounted batteries. By the way, Eurobike indicated that integrating the battery in...

Powerful Fat Tire E-bike w/ Torque sensor from Juiced Bikes

It's interesting that in the above video the bike appears to have a suspension fork yet the website does not allude to a suspension fork as an option. I would probably suggest the hydraulic brake option on such a powerful (and heavy) bike, though.

    Vektron and ELink in USA?

I am curious as to if the Vektron will upgrade the battery pack to the 2017 500 watt hour unit like most of the other Bosch powered bikes? Is a suspension front fork a current or future option?

    Preparing for a new season - 2017

Doug, I don't know what the control cable layout is on your ebike, but, I tend to inspect and lube the cables on my motorcycles on occasion. I don't know if you have sealed bearings in your steering stem or not, but lubing or checking free play in critical areas of your bike may also be...

    Best dual-suspension trail bike...

If you are looking at bikes with those price points, why not consider the Haibike Xduro full seven carbon 10.0. You would be buying absolute top shelf components on a CF frame and wheel combo which should offer outstanding handling on the trails and a very low 17.5 Kg weight to make the climbs...

    Thumb Throttle Attachment

This version might work a bit better for those who installed larger grips: https://www.amazon.com/Crampbuster-CB3-Throttle-Mounted-Motorcycle/dp/B0046C4ALS/ref=pd_sbs_263_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0046C4ALS&pd_rd_r=A6HH0JNT80KG6JR7RRZM&pd_rd_w=rRU9e&pd_rd_wg=Y6S2L&psc=1&refRID=A6HH0JNT80KG6JR7RRZM

The above looks to be a cheaper copy of what's been around the motorcycle community for years. This version might be a bit heavier duty and ergonomically useful...

    RadRover speed video - Whoosh!

I may be in the minority here, but, I think it is a bit dangerous to be blowing by pedestrians (including children) and other cyclists at a fairly high rate of speed on a fairly narrow boardwalk. I also don't think it promotes a positive public relations for the ebike community one bit.

    Big Cat Fat Cat XL

Hmmm.... I like the forward pivoting seatpost as a means to quickly access/remove the battery. It would look to be a useful upgrade to the Radmini or the Voltbike Mariner bikes. Any thoughts?
