I've just come across this thread, my Giant quick e is 2018 model and I've covered around 10k miles. My motor is creaky as well.

I think probably the problem started when I fitted the dongle, you have to drop the motor to get it in and connected. A few weeks later I noticed the creaking when pedalling, and later the whole motor moving. The mounting holes in the motor are nearly 9.5mm or 3/8" in old money, quite a lot of...

A short showing my loose motor: Since the video I have reassembled everything, and tightened the bolts as much as I dare without rounding the heads. So far no movement, but I can't imagine that is ideal, I know on a roadbike you can flex the frame when standing on the pedals out of the...

I had a similar problem last year, my bike would not switch on, 18 miles without any assistance 😬. My controller was replaced under warranty. No problems now even with the wettest February in history.

Yes creaking started after speed box went in. I had to drop the motor a few times because the first dongle was kaput. Maybe that's where my issue started. My bolts are quite loose in the motor, so I would repair with a sleeve to tighten everything up. Also motor cover is smashed by the chain...

Yes I had the creaking early on, probably because you have to drop the motor to get the dongle in. The motor is still loose but not got any worse since my video. Planning to take to the shop before winter sets in, but Giant near me is in the middle of Cambridge and no parking near so I have...

I have the Quick E hybrid bike, same battery and motor. It's done nearly 4k miles now, and am on my 3rd chain and 2nd cassette. Could be your chain is stretched and won't mesh very well with a new chainring perhaps. 2nd set of brake pads as well, suppose it's a heavy bike and we are stopping...

The chain coming off wrecked the plastic cover, I'll get Giant to replace it as the cover is awkward to get to. Now my front mudguard has snapped, I glued it back together but it only lasted a week, previously I had to reinforce the mounting as the vibration wore away the plastic clip. Giant...

My solution to stop chain jumping off, a cheap front derailluer locked in the mid position.

Mu bike wouldn't switch on one say, so under warranty I had my control switch replaced, probably because of water ingress, so far so good. I get some vibration through the pedals as my cadance increases, I think there is a s

Yes bolts are tight, but I'll look at fitting washers or different bolts. It's still under warranty so I can Giant to do it, but if I repair it I would ream the holes and fit a bush to tighten everything up.

Mine started slipping at 800 miles, I swapped the 2 smallest cogs with my road bike and got a further 900. The chain will be stretched by now so will slip. I've changed the whole drivetrain now, I have a 11-25 cassette and larger front ring to spread the wear, and I ease the effort when changing...

My cover is split quite badly, Giant gave a new one but to fit it you have to remove the 40mm nut on the crank. I don't have a socket or spanner that size.
