I passed the 1000km mark recently on my 2019 Quick E+ and thought an update was in order. The short summary is the Giant quick E+ is an awesome bike when it works BUT a pain in the backside when things go wrong, particularly if you live in NZ where we don't seem to have ready access to spare...

My Giant Quick E+ is in the shop getting two issues sorted 1) After a ride in the rain yesterday the bike no longer powers on (at least not when you push the button on the controller, it does however sometime turn on randomly while the bike is just sitting there, with no-one touching it)...

Update: My back ordered MIK deck FINALLY arrived after waiting for a couple of months and my panniers now fit much better, worth getting one if you have Ortleib back roller classics.

I had this happen and fortunately had some allen keys with me. I found the only viable way of getting the chain out without damaging stuff was to take the chainring off (unfortunately not before I had tried to pull it out and scratched up the plastic covers I fair bit).
