SuperDelite pedals too close to ground :-/

I was having the same issue. Shimano XT PD-T8000 pedals have cleats on and normal pedals on the other. When riding cleat side down, you have much lower chance of a pedal strike. I really like these pedals. Shimano XT PD-T8000

Alternative tyres for Superdelite - optimised for puncture resistance

I've gone tubeless on all my bikes (including my superdelite). I ride about 5k/miles a year and in the last 3 years I've had one flat (at 3/8inch nail in the sidewall). The current sealant technology is pretty amazing. You have to pay attention to your tire pressure (pump once or twice a...

Superdelite - How many miles are you getting on brake pads?

On my Superdelite, I just went through my first set of front brake pads (Magura 9, comfort) in about 1000 miles. I have about 30% remaining on the rear. The bike came equipped with organic pads. I just bought and replaced them with sintered pads. Just curious about how many miles you...

Ergon GP1 compatible bar end mirrors-Are there any?

I really like the specialized mirror (the one they sell for their ebikes). Low and out of the way. Doesn't increase the profile of the bike. Quite solid. You may have to go to a specialized bike store to order one.

    Riese Muller metal water bottle?

Yes you can mount a regular water bottle cage there. You might have to ream the holes to be slightly larger. The Loony Bin is a great choice as it can securely hold lots of different types of bottles. https://www.arundelbike.com/product/looney-bin/

Komoot and the new Bosch Kiox navigation

I really like my Garmin 850. It syncs with Strava and the maps are great. I get power and speed from the bike. @Squaxor are you able to configure the individual screens on the kiox? I'd love to have one screen that shows me speed, gear, power and time of day... Anything interesting on the...

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

I is the ortlib shopper bag (https://ortliebusa.com/product/bike-shopper/). Mounts easily. I really like the 'Zip' open/close. Has a nice shoulder strap that can't get caught in the wheels. Wish it came in high visibility. I ended up using two of these (Voile Straps - 15" Nylon Buckle to...

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

It wasn't too bad. remove the 4 bolts that hold on the handle bar. There is a mounting plate for the kiox and light. remove the kiox and light from that. Flip the mount over, Flip the mount over on the light, screw it all back together. Make sure you have the right torx wrenches before...

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

Yesterday I actually remounted the light on the top of the bar but i'm not sure it helps all that much. I removed the mount for the computer and light, flipped it over, flipped over the mount on the light. I think I gained a couple of inches but I'm still not happy about how it looks and will...

Superdelite modifications - a few ideas

In the US drivers seem really distracted so I work pretty hard on visibility. I applied 3m reflective tape in lots of places. 3m Spoke reflectors Knob Cobber rear light mounted on the rack. I used epoxy to make a mount. Pedals: I was having pedal strike issues when cornering hard, so I...

Schwalbe 47-622 smaller than Trigger Sport 47-622 Tire

I'm running tubeless tires and I've no flats on this bike yet (1400 miles). On my other bikes 1 flat in about 4000 miles. I used to flat all the time with tubes. Generally, I run lower pressures (30-40lbs) and it makes for a much more comfortable ride. Weight is less, so it feels like the...

Vado 5 vs Super Commuter+ 8S vs BMC Alpenchallenge

I agree with you. I rode all the e-bikes I could find (bosch, shimano, Yamaha motors). There is nothing like the Brose motor (used by specialized). It is so much smoother and has so much more torque. I'm 900 miles into my Vado and recently 200 miles into my Levo with no problems. If you...

Spreadsheet for Time to Charge to 85%

I got tired of figure out how much time to put on the timer for my Vado (600wh) and Levo (700wh) so that I could charge to around 85%. I ended up creating a spreadsheet that works really well. I come home, look at the percentage remaining, look on the chart set the timer and when I come back...

    Vado (Bado) with 27.5+ Wheels.

I like lighter wheels because I can accelerate faster and the bike feels more nimble. To me, it is just more fun to have a faster bike.

    Vado (Bado) with 27.5+ Wheels.

There are a bunch of different standards for axle widths. Usually, front and back wheels follow the same standard. In the Vado case, they chose a narrower standard for the front and a wider (boost) standard for the back. This means you can't go and buy a pair of 'off the shelf' wheels and get...

    Vado 5.0 - 45 months ownership - approximately 23,000+ miles

So it turns out that it was that the Shimano E-Bike chain CN-E8000-11 doesn't work very well with my Vado chain ring. I had a SRAM chain that snapped. I put the SRAM chain back on the bike and the noise went away. The SRAM chain snapped at the master link, so I went ahead and put it back on...

    Vado 5.0 - 45 months ownership - approximately 23,000+ miles

I broke a chain a couple of days ago and replaced the chain and the derailleur (the derailleur got destroyed when the chain got caught on the cassette, the cassette is new). I'm now getting a weird grinding sound when the chain is under stress. The noise is the same in any gear so I'm pretty...
