    New purchase

My battery is 13aH, was yours (the early ones) much less? Those will of course go up every year with technology.. I looked long & hard at more conventional tire sizes, but I think I would have busted those bikes even with my light riding; I'm well over the weight limit. I'll look to buy some...

    New purchase

Because my bike will be both for exercise and a 'carbon offset' for my van, I bought some expanding panniers and a bag for the front basket. Because I'm weird I found these in a 'WWII motorcycle' style. (Pic below) it's just seemed to 'fit'. :) They work great; panniers roll open to double...

    Returned my DJ City Bike

Sounds like it might have been a bad controller.. so far my only issue is me. :)

    Returned my DJ City Bike

Per my experience today with my brand new bike, I'd say 'No'. My PA1 acts like PA0, and PA2 was too fast until I put it in a higher gear. There are ways to change the percentage of 'assist' on other controllers so I'm going to see if I can mess with the settings; but it might have just been the...

    New purchase

I decided (after a year of research & contemplation.. & saving $) to buy a "DJ folding bike" (a style name might sell better). It came stock with everything that Rad Bikes offered as add-ons, including working headlights & brakelights, for my $1499 price point (hint: it's $100 less by buying...

The E-Lux Sierra seems to have everything done right.. integrated head- and tail- lights, maybe a bit light on Amps compared to the 14Ah's that are showing up lately; but a usb on the screen AND on the battery itself?! Brilliant!

Transparency in Advertising: How EBR Runs

Thanks @Court , your reviews are what got me to consider my current transportation arrangement (van/electric bike). I REALLY wish I could get a definitive "which folding fat tire do I need to buy" based on having a walking disability, being 6' & 250#... Min wattage? Best quality for least price...

    Disability- need some unbiased advice

Yes, if my for were just numb I would be out walking & pedaling. Unfortunately nerve damage causes an array of pain and the confused signals along a damaged path range from numb/tingling/low-voltage-shocks/lightning-bolt-shocks to even light touch (like socks). So I'll be trying various methods...

    Disability- need some unbiased advice

I can balance, and it will be part of my recovery to do so; also I want to be on walking paths without getting in people's way (like on the redwoods walkway). A step through would be easier, as you suggest; and I'm also looking carefully at bike-weight. Thanks!

They seem to have just one brand in each of the shops I've been in (& obviously a selling bias to those) which is why the EBR on YouTube has been vital to my research... but I'll try to get hands on with as many of these suggestions as I can. Thank you!

We've squeaked-up past my price range almost immediately; looks like $1699 is the popular breaking point. Rad Mini Rad Mini Step-Through (announced for 2019) Veego Fat Tire (integrated lights and rack!) ... And no one's mentioned the Sondors Fold X @ $1129 I think at my weight and my...

    Disability- need some unbiased advice

Hi everyone! I'm about to purchase a folding e-bike (choose this category for space considerations) and would like your advice before spending (to me) a big investment in trying to regain some health. Through a surgery 'mishap' (well, they DID save my leg) I now have neuropathy on the bottom of...
