learn how to fix a flat and carry the tools to do it. I have used liners, slime and tannus foam inserts and have gotten flats regardless. There is a lot of nasty implements on the road and thorns and rocks off road.

It’s been awhile since the install and I have 4K miles on the Rohloff, absolutely no regret. My steepest climbs are handled at lower power settings with faster speeds. My flat land speed is greatly increased. No more changing the rear sprocket to match the days ride.

I put my wifes aurora on a rocky mounts backstage. As others have said its a hunk of weight to lift and we run an after market fender

While I appreciate the nuvinci 380 the Rohloff on its first ride was day and night. 25 mile established route, ran at the lowest power settings the whole way and never had to drop below 4th gear to climb hills. Also 3mph faster on the the steepest hill.

Nuvinci 380 has been changed to a Rohloff speed hub. First real ride tomorrow. If any interest I will report back.

Is there anyone on the west coast besides Cycle Monkey that can do a Rohloff hub swap? I would even attempt the install if I had the hub laced up. Thanks,

I have 2 chain drive n380’s. with the indicator flat, check if there is still travel to be had at the hub towards the high gear direction.

The cable only passes through the down tube and then tie wraps on the outside of the frame back to the hub. I would disconnect at the shifter tie a thin sturdy rope to the cable end and pull the old cable with rope attached out the bottom of the down tube making sure rope is long enough to stay...

does the throttle work? On our Aurora I have to make sure the battery clicks into position, that requires me to press the battery towards the downtube to get the click. You could also make sure the connection is good at the hub. I think ours has done that once or twice and once the throttle is...

I keep both of our evelo’s on voltage not percentage ( easy to set in the display) it’s a much better way of tracking the state of charge.

90mm or 110mm are the length and both will work. I did the stem extender and the 90mm on my wife's Aurora and she is pleased with the riding position. Upright and comfortable, she's 5'9"

Wife has a 2018 750w with the nuvinci we added the stem extender (she’s 5’9”) and I put a set of 2.4 Schwalbe super moto x’s and new fenders, stock fenders are rather cheesy. It’s really a fun comfortable ride and powers up our no ca coastal hills just fine. It handles and brakes as expected.

I bought mine for the exercise benefit and rarely use throttle only. The cadence sensing is not an issue for me, keeping in mind I have never ridden a torque sensor bike. Overall the bike does exactly what I wanted and I really like the nuvinci overall I’m pleased with it.
