How Do I Make The Yukon 2018 Voltbike faster?

If anyone is on the FB group, I put a post (poll) there last week asking about interest in getting a Bolton upgraded controller and display for the Yukon. So far on my Yukon 750, I can't get over 40kph on PAS9 on flat ground, (yes with a larger chainring) even if I adjust the CUL and max speed...

    Customized Voltbikes

Note sure it is in this thread anywhere but I'm not so interested in all the other mods (I already have different seatpost, chainrings, tires, etc.) but I am interested in the controller/display mod. Did this increase your power, torque and top-end speed? What is the max speed you can get at...

    Back to Acoustic?

Agreed. I bought an eFat bike (VoltBike Yukon) last Fall for winter commuting, then tried it for some fat biking on trails, and found it too heavy, restrictive, etc., then got a manual fat biking for enjoyment and fitness on the fat bike trails. Still commute on my eFat though.

    Back to Acoustic?

Where does this term acoustic come from for a manual bike? Very strange; this is not a musical instrument!

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

You could try looking/asking on some of the FB groups like Endless Sphere or DIY eBikes, etc. ...Roger

    Changing freewheel?

No but I did add a smaller chainring for when I do trail-riding without power assist. I then manually move the chain over to that chainring. It's a neat chainring as it is a special 26T version but on a 104 bolt circle. Usually you can't get such a small chainring for that bolt circle...

    Questions about Téo Fat Bike

No I bought a Voltbike Yukon 750 Ltd. I've put 1200km on it since mid Nov with winter commuting and recreational riding. Téo never answered my last phone calls and emails plus the Voltbike looked good. I'm happy with the Voltbike. Some issues but they have been good about sending me replacement...

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

ha, ha. I've got a day job to worry about though! I'm starting to think it's just easier to upgrade the controller. One video I saw said that we won't get any increase in top-speed out of it but only torque which I think you or someone else mentioned already.

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

Cool, so in this case the mid-motor has the controller built into it (?)

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

Yes I don't think I saw a post about trying ST-Link II. Maybe it's posted in another forum/thread(?) That's what I suspected about the epoxy covering, as it's critical to waterproof the controller well. There were comments somewhere in this forum about Voltbike taking care of...

    Lishui LSW784-45-3M vs LSW1106-58-10F Controller

Hi: I'm a fairly new Yukon owner (and new to eBikes) and interested in hacking the controller if possible to deliver a bit more power. (I am an EE with some knowledge of electronics) 1) how did you know it was limiting to 15A? Is that just from looking at the power meter on the display 2) I'm...

How Do I Make The Yukon 2018 Voltbike faster?

I’m a bit confused about this whole post as all the solutions relate to hacking the electronics. Why not just put a larger chainring on so you can add more pedal power or were you specifically asking only about getting more power assist.

Simple solution for bikes with no water bottle cage holes ...fits over most handlebars and is its own mount ! Cant get much simpler .

I only JUST got it today and took my first ride into work (20km) this afternoon in winter weather on both the road and the unplowed bike trails. It was lots of fun. I slid out a few times in the snow and need to figure out the right air pressure to use and the best gear/PAS to use...

When did you get your Teo? I was talking to them in early November then they suddenly went silent on me and didn't answer my emails or two voicemails. I just ended up ordering a Volt Yukon 750 Limited instead. ...Roger

They don't sell the Ripcurrent though, do they? Need to get that from the US Juiced Bikes I just opted for the Volt Yukon 750 Limited. Hope I'll be happy with it. ...Roger

    New owner

@Bobkat9 , how are you liking your Teo S? What sort of riding do you do - commuting, on roads, or trails, etc? I'm trying to decide between the Teo S and the Voltbike Yukon 750W limited. I'm not looking at the Teo Limited because they don't seem to have stock right now of the 750W version in a...

Which ebike is better and why? Back motor, mid motor or front motor?

Ok, good feedback. I suspect that I'll find that for winter trail riding I'll only end up using it on the specific multi-use xc ski, walking, and fat-bike flat trail that we have here that runs along the river. The bike will probably not work in the hilly fat bike trails in the Gatineau hills...

Which ebike is better and why? Back motor, mid motor or front motor?

I'm just in the process of choosing my first electric fat-bike. Probably go for a Teo or a Voltbike Yukon 750 Limited. Why would you never consider a hub motor if most of the riding was off-road/single-track? What's the downside? Also I notice the chainring and sprocket sizes seem to be...
