    pulling a bike trailer

Respect the stated speed and load limits of the trailer, and you will be fine. FYI, Burley states a 15mph limit on flat pavement, as I recall. You can push beyond the published limits, but thats where you may or may not be OK.

Bike Mirror Options: Handlebar, Helmet, Glasses Mounted

I previously had an old mirrcycle mirror that mounted into the end of the flatbar. Not great, vibrated alot and frequently out of adjustment. Eventually shattered when the bike fell. Bought a bike that had an old Zefal Dooback mirror that mounted the same way, and it is SO good. I love how it...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

agreed that 35 mile each way is a lot for a commute. I experimented with class III / 28 mph limit in urban use, some hills. Average speed came to only about 18mph. Many times you are power limited, 750 watts plus human is not enough on an upright bike with really much grade at all to hit 28mph...

Electric bucket bike with kid cover or regular eBike with Burley

on a hub motor bike, max sustainable torque is going to be the same (for the same series of motor) regardless of 20 vs 28mph winding. Whether your battery and controller can handle the amps to create max torque on a faster wound motor may be a question. Max speed is just a matter of voltage...

    Advice for converting tandem

Front hub works great on a tandem. I have a Grin All Axle gearless direct drive hub motor driving the 20" front wheel on my bike friday tandem. That system is at 52v and 750w, rather high end. With the larger 26" wheel on your tandem, I recommend a large geared front hub motor, with 500-1000...

Long Commute - 70 miles round trip for eNoob

Looks like a good usage case for something like a Stromer ST1 (maybe not enough battery?), or a dual battery Xtracycle Edgerunner Speed model. Check on the edgerunner what 28mph cadence would be, might be too high. Maybe some others. Based on my numbers, you would need atleast 800wh battery...

Electric bucket bike with kid cover or regular eBike with Burley

I ride 3 miles to daycare, followed by another 9 to the office. Moderately hilly in the Denver Colorado burbs. Prior to that, I worked from home with a 7 mile RT (twice a day) slog to daycare in flat New Jersey, similar climate. TLDR version: Get a midtail/longtail bike, or a single rider...
