    Thanks for all the input. The conclusion to all this is the shop is charging me $90 to replace the warrantied motor. Obviously the last $90 they'll see from me and last Raleigh I'll ever buy.

    I gave Raleigh a call and they reiterated to me shop labor is not covered under the warranty and the warranty applies only to the motor itself. A very poor business model to pass the cost along to the consumer.
