    New Bike Announcements

I think they already did run their black Friday event. I even got an email from them last week saying to log on early and have a back up model in mind in case your first choice is out of stock. I assumed then they were a bit light on inventory.

    New Bike Announcements

Their website says the liners are made of aramid and ceramic particles? But nice to know they are integrated into the tire, ... they will also be backwards compatible, (well duh :) ) and for sale on the Rad Power site, nice!

    New Bike Announcements

Yes, the price is the same, but ... I don't see any rear racks on the new mini's so in effect, that could be considered an increase. Yup, I'm curios about the new slick tires with puncture protection. I do like this company and have been very happy with my 2018 mini :)

Rad Power Bikes Custom Off-Road Wheelchair Build

That's a neat story for sure. I think this was already show in another thread here: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/homemade-off-road-e-wheelchair.25769/#post-169354 The only problem I see is it looks like it's hard for her to get into on her own.

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Makes me think I should buy a fireproof gun safe to store my battery :) Keep the fire inside ... hey, there's a business idea :) In all honesty, it is astounding to me just how much energy these batteries can hold, amazing even.

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Thanks AHicks. I am assuming then that they are probably a bit safer than some of the other packs I've read about. I seem to read a lot about ecigs, those weird balancing scooters and even some RC plane and car packs catching fire, but I can't recall reading anything about ebike batts catching...

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Being an ex ecig user and also reading about all those skateboard thing a ma jigs that caught on fire, I have to ask, are ebike batteries safe to bring inside? MarkF pointed out not wanting to let them freeze, so sounds like a smart idea to just get in the habit of bringing inside. I just...

Anyone tried moped tires on a RadMini?

I read about this on another post which piqued my curiosity. Has anyone actually tried running moped tires on the RadMini? It's my understanding that the 16" rim size will fit. Here are some Shinko SR714's on amazon, I believe 3.5" wide...

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

I like that advice! Heck, even if you have to leave the ebike behind... it's worth the risk to get out and enjoy!

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

Sounds like and interesting fix indianajo. Yep, I sort of new I was in for a difficult time when I couldn't even remove the wheel by pulling on it. I ended up using a broom stick to pry the wheel up and out as it was so tight in the drop outs. Also sounds like a neat fix on protecting the display.

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

I know DDBB, you don't want to jinx yourself!! I hope I never get one either, but I just hear that fat bikes are prone to more flats. A google search came across this AAA competitor, $40 year for bikes only. Will transport 30 miles... Have to be with bike, and at a road, no trails or bike...

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

I understand what you're saying and I was of similar mind set before I got my 60+ pound fat tired RadMini. I installed the fenders yesterday and though I've changed probably 30 or more flats in my lifetime, I have to say I had a heck of a time getting the wheel back on. It seemed like there was...

Please tell me it gets easier re-installing rear wheel on RadMini!

That's a pretty neat set up DDBB, I did take a look at the Gaddi website awhile back but didn't see them in the proper size for my bike. It's a neat idea though! I saw from another thread that Huffy, believe it or not is also making similar tubes. (again, none in a 20" X 4" size though.

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable strapping my ebike onto some drone, off to who knows where? :) Oh I loved that movie! Remember how that German toy plane designer took care of the prisoner that threatened to slow down their operation? Talk about a problem solver!! ha ha, just kidding :) I...

Please tell me it gets easier re-installing rear wheel on RadMini!

Thanks CodyDog :) I want to start doing that as well AHicks, in addition I got some Mr Tuffy tire liners, but I'm to lazy to install those until I get my first flat - well, that and I want to see how the conditions are here locally for flats. This time of year for instance, the trails and bike...

How do you plan to fix a roadside flat?

After removing the rear wheel on my new RadMini to install the fenders: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/please-tell-me-it-gets-easier-re-installing-rear-wheel-on-radmini.25822/#post-169406 I'm starting to like the idea of having a service (such as AAA) to get me home. (Thanks...

Please tell me it gets easier re-installing rear wheel on RadMini!

I've been following that thread as well AHicks :) Thanks! I think you have a good point there. Maybe I will investigate AAA costs. Also like you say, it's not that I can't repair the flat, it's just soooo much easier at home. And .. if I want to start running slime, that's another complication...

Please tell me it gets easier re-installing rear wheel on RadMini!

That's the recommendation from Rad Power per the install video: Basically it's to gain access to the two interior attachment points where a bolt goes from the inside of the fender to the stantion on the frame. There is a guy who made a video where he was able to get them on without removing...
