Juiced Bikes Introduces the New CrossCurrent S2

With the promotion for free rack and fenders, it's a pretty great deal at $1799 sale price.

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

OP here. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I'm debating between the BH Nitro City Pro and the Stromer ST2. $1800 for the Evo, $3500 for the Stromer. Both are a great deal compared to typical pricing. It seems like I could go for the Stromer and if I don't like it, maybe still come out...

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

Closer to 3k is preferable. I could see going to 4k for something high performance and super reliable.

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

I don't need to necessarily need to go 28mph sustained, but having assist to maintain low-mid 20s makes a big difference on speeding up my commute.

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

I rode the Yamaha Cross Connect today. It just didn't quite do it for me. The power dropout as I got to 20mph just doesn't seem like what I'm looking for on my commute. Definitely needs to be a 28mph/Class 3.

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

Also - I'm going to test ride some mid-drives and see how they compare to my prior hub experience. I know there are volumes written on this, but hard to really tell without feeling it.

Weighing online brands vs. in-store, a few brands for fast 12-mi commuter

I had a Juiced CCS that was stolen. I loved the bike - when it worked correctly. But I had a frequent (though intermittent) problem with it throwing an error that I hadn't come to resolution on and the motor would stop working. There's nothing that puts a bigger drag on a day than losing power...

Is a full-face DH helmet for certain e-bike riding activities overkill or a good idea?

I commute in this, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks: https://www.amazon.com/Bell-Super-MIPS-Bike-Helmet/dp/B07GT9V31M?th=1 I'd like to keep my skin on my face and keep my jaw from breaking if I fall at 30+ mph.

New to the ebike world and would love your opinions!

I personally found the Pedego to be a boring, underpowered ride compared to some others. Give it a try before buying.

CCS 52V Stolen: Should I replace with a CCX or CCS 48V? Or find another brand?

Well, the CCS no longer being restocked settled the question with which Juiced model. Now it's a question of whether to jump ship to another brand or hope the CCX issues have all been resolved. I just want a trouble free, fast commute.

CCS 52V Stolen: Should I replace with a CCX or CCS 48V? Or find another brand?

Long story, but my CCS 52V version (that they offered for a short period) was stolen from my garage. I was having Error 8 issues with it before it was stolen, so if there's any silver lining to it being stolen, the thief now has to figure that annoying issue himself ;) My debate now is whether...

Error 8 and loud noises from the hub, combined with drop in power

Thanks, but doesn't do much to help. All the connections are solid. Has to be something internal to the motor. The noise is awful.

Error 8 and loud noises from the hub, combined with drop in power

I searched the forum and couldn't find anyone with this kind of problem, specifically not the Error 8. I got my bike late last summer as a commuter. It's about 12 miles to work, we have a bike room at work, so it's perfect. After a week or so of riding, I got an Error 8 and a loud noise from...

Juiced Bikes CrossCurrent S Aftermarket Rack Help

Do you use it with panniers? I see the Topeak Super Tourist supports them - but the Topeak linked above doesn't. How were the mounting points?

CCS: Rec for rack that fits standard pannier bags?

I've had my CCS for a few weeks and love it. i started out just bungee-ing my standard laptop bag to the rack, but I really wanted a pannier bag that I could easily pop off and carry into the office. I settled on the Arkel Commuter Urban Pannier...
