    $10,000.00?

Seems like there are as many budget snobs criticizing the people buying expensive bikes as there are the other way around. I guess that's forums for you!

    $10,000.00?

Just a side note, I recently purchased a Trek Fuel EXE 9.8 XT with the TQ-HPR50 motor. Quite in all three modes, I have yet to hear it sing. Buttery smooth offering 50 nm. For those not familiar with this bike, it's the SL version of a emts. I also have a Vado SL and it's pretty darn quite with...

    $10,000.00?

Although I agree with you on skill not necessarily matching dollars paid, I don't think that has anything to do with buying a higher end (costly) bike. I have a friend that has a skill set that allows him to out drive a Porsche with his Miata on the track but I would much rather drive a Porsche.

    $10,000.00?

I can certainly see why people would think $10,000 is a lot for a ebike, There are many analog bikes that can exceed that price range let alone an e-bike. As in any sport or past time, equipment can get quite expensive. My first ebike was about $1,200. My recent purchase retailed at $8,600. The...

    Fat tire mountain bike

I was waiting for some response to the OP initial post before I responded. Stephan is correct in his response as far as the dollars to obtain a decent FS MTB (non electric). It comes down to what your real application is. Intermediate and up trails (including some beginners) will require a...

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 EQ

Head to the nearest Specialized dealer. It's near impossible to help trouble shoot the problem over the forum. Let us know what you find out. The Vado SL is a great bike. Hope you get things sorted out.

    First E-Bike: Ride1Up Turris?

This is solid advise! I have had both Torque and Cadence sensing bikes and to me, they're night and day.

hill climbing? 750W hub versus 250W mid drive

I prefer a mid drive over a hub drive for climbing. I have owned both.

    Disappointed after purchasing an e-bike?

That is what I experienced. My first two e-bikes were foe heavy to handle and load.

    Disappointed after purchasing an e-bike?

I have not been disappointed in an ebike itself but perhaps my choices made. 1) Rad Rover: Never had any mechanical issues but quickly learned I should have purchase a bike with torque sensing instead of cadence. (Ended up selling). 2) Specialized Turbo Levo Comp: Great MTB but a bit heavy for...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I had a Anatomica in the past but sold it with a bike. I did like a lot and it is different from the B-17. The problem is trying out the better seats as an experiment can get expensive.
