Falco 7.7, Catrike Villager, Hilly Terrain

I have not, sorry can't help there. I would assume you have tried it with the e-drive turned off? if it goes away then you know it is e-drive related. if it stays, it is a mechanical issue.

David, I would suggest you CALL Rakesh. Send him an email @ [email protected] and ask if you can call him. He will give you his cell # Something is not right. I am absolutely thrilled with my edrive. Just got back from 35mi in the mountains at my second home in VT. Awesome!! Harry

Falco 7.7, Catrike Villager, Hilly Terrain

David, Cruise mode: Without cruise mode enabled your bike is a class 1 ebike. Meaning, it will limit the pedal assisted speed to 20mph, no throttle (although the throttle still works), must be pedaled to enable the motor assist, and motor is limited to 750 watts (1 HP). Cruise mode turns OFF...

Falco 7.7, Catrike Villager, Hilly Terrain

@davidsantafe I would increase the dropout offset to 10. I would decrease the torque sensor turn on value to 3. I would ALWAYS turn on cruise mode before every ride. I would make sure the axle nuts are torqued to 35-40 ft lbs. I would install the torque arms! Good luck and enjoy. You have the...

Falco 7.7, Catrike Villager, Hilly Terrain

@davidsantafe What is your TS Raw value when not sitting on the trike? What is your TS Raw value when sitting on the trike? When sitting on the trike with the brakes on, what happens to this value when you apply torque to the pedal? Does it go up or down? Does this "clunking" occur in cruise...

    What are your Falco settings?

Here are the settings I currently run with. I doubt they will change much if any in the future. I am very happy with the way the motor and torque sensor behave with this setup. HB

    My Falco review

The only time I have suffered from hill climbing deficiencies was when riding around my place in southern VT. Very looooooong climbs (4% average for 9.5 miles was the worst I attempted). The motor is programmed to start rolling back the available assist at 60C. and once it gets to 90C there is...

    My Falco review

@rannyv the Falco hub motor is direct drive. I literally have to strain and turn my head sideways to hear it. The torque sensor is very impressive and completely customizable. The edrive system defaults to level 5 assist. So if you were to just install the wheel and the battery, off you go...

    What are your Falco settings?

@bowzette Need or not, I love gadgets and geeky stuff so I did it anyway. I believe you are correct in that the latest generation is much less sensitive to the differences in bike frames and dropout angles. I would put that question to Rakesh. You are also correct that I only use the iPhone...

    What are your Falco settings?

Falco has a YouTube channel with many videos. Some a bit dated but, still very informative. That is where I found that video. At the bottom of every page on their site there is a YouTube link. However, here it is. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/user/falcoemotors

    What are your Falco settings?

The turn on speed is in motor RPM. With your 700c wheel a value of 10 is just shy of 1mph (11.6 rpm = 1mph) So, once your speed is 1mph AND you exceed your torque sensor turn on value, the motor will turn on after the turn on delay. In my case, I was experiencing an intermittent issue where...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Mike, No worries. It is cake to set up. If you buy the Falco. I'd recommend the simplicity 7.9. No need for the software or dongle. Just the Android or Apple app. I will tell you to expect 4-6 weeks for delivery. Myself and cyclecherry have received ours in 5 weeks. So worth the wait! You will...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

@bowzette i have posted my experience in this very forum. In my opinion, the Falco system is the benchmark. It is by far the best engineered system you can buy to convert an existing bike. I have been riding the heck out of it for a month now. Read my review. I am thrilled beyond my capability...

    My Falco Review

Why E’Bike? I am in my early 60s. I have been a road cyclist for 25-30 years. About 5 years ago, lower back issues and surgery forced me off my upright drop-bar road bike. In an effort to stay in the game, I turned to a long wheel base recumbent. The Easy Racers Tour Easy. Here are a few photos...
