What EXTRA riding protection do you wear and why? Types, brands, pricing, etc? For street or trail? Age related?

Smart with the gloves. I know my fingerless ones are going to bite me at some point. But hate having my hands bound up during the summer. Understand the no armor part on smooth surfaces, but ever thought about no armor, soft (neoprene) elbow or knee pads. Those body parts will eventually hit the...

What EXTRA riding protection do you wear and why? Types, brands, pricing, etc? For street or trail? Age related?

What type of protection or padding? Where? And how thick? Why? Protection vs comfort? Crashes? Did it work? More padding as you've gotten older? Hip protection? Please include brands, model and pricing.

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Like your "don't overthink" mindset on this. Just keep mine out of Las Vegas summer heat and never completely drain the charge. Battery tech is advancing leaps and bounds. Think it will always be worth it to have the better, more efficient battery that's available. Hopefully a little cheaper in...

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Sure, brand recognition and wanting to show off your bike is natural. At least at first... but after that wears off, I think it hits some people that maybe their particular bike might look better without all that big branding and also be less noticable to people that would like to separate you...

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Sounds like a good alternative to electrical tape, which would work but isn't wide enough in most cases.

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Sharp! Hopefully they start selling some for other bikes in that line. Have the RadCity.

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Wow. Those are nice looking bikes. All about the design, not the lettering or graphics.

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Agreed. Theft issues surely increase with large standout identifying lettering and graphics. Hopefully, manufacturers will find a middle ground or give choices.

Feel like your bike frame lettering is like a giant billboard?

Do you think all the lettering and or graphics on your particular brand bike frame is all too much or doesn't bother you at all? Larger lettering and gaudy graphics or a cleaner more refined look? Have you made any refinements to your brand frame?

    Touch up Paint

Mrgold35, Glad to be of some help. You said it.... "anything looks better than exposed aluminum". That's the key. To just make it look better and fool the eye. A tip: Found it works better to dab on the color from an already paint covered pen tip if not a large ding. And thank you for the...

Radbike Riding Comfort. What's Worked for You?

Thanks for the input. Nice upgrades. That 1859 Northwest thumb throttle really caught my eye. Looked it up. Wondering if it's easy to get full throttle rotatation with thumb? Also, is it comfortable to have your thumb in that position for a period of time? Is it noticeably more comfortable than...

Radbike Riding Comfort. What's Worked for You?

What riding position do you prefer? Which model Rad? Improvements you've made for a more comfortable ride. The accessories you've added. Suspension seatposts, different seats, stems, stem risers, padded gloves or...? Which brands and models worked for you?

    Touch up Paint

No dings yet on the Radcity but...Got pretty good at touching up bikes over the years from lots of trial and error. Found various brand paint pens worked best for the smaller, most common dings. Painters, Painty, Decocolor and Tree House (brands) are available at art supply type stores and...

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Thanks for the reply and informative explanation. Especially on full cycles. It is wierd science. To clarify, by effort I meant OFF-BIKE charging in my case and charging every 2 rides instead of 3. Time TO charge not an issue. Guess it's best to not over think it, but be aware of the pluses and...

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

JoePah, Wow. Was expecting more than 5,000 miles. 500 already. Maybe that 95% charge is the best option for me. Getting 3 rides per charge now to about 10% discharge and can adjust 5% on street if necessary. Don't want to be charging all the time. Also getting good at guessing charge times, so...

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Good point. Plus battery technology seems to be expanding leaps and bounds each year. Planned obsolescence. Thanks. Greg

Batteries: Less charging cycles or using less battery capacity?

Is it better to fully charge and almost fully discharge a battery and MAYBE? preserve charging cycles and your time, OR better to only charge to the frequently recommended 80% and discharge to 20%? Using the 80% to 20% would mean many more charging cycles and more frequency, time and effort to...
