Anybody tried out the GX yet?

Had my GX for just over a month, 350+miles. Last week broke down and ordered the GXi ‘big battery’. With minor hills and the standard battery I can get close to 40 miles (190lbs rider). One of my regular rides includes an elevation gain of 1,650’ over 15 miles. By the time I get back home...

    GoCycle GX First Month

Now got 300 miles on my GoCycle GX. On the plus side, seating position is great, folding is easy, its light under 40lbs, looks cool. Its easy to repair a flat-had one at 25 miles. Front bag is very innovative and holds a decent amount. On the downside, the iPhone display with red & black & tiny...

    First Long Distance Test

Rode first long distance ride yesterday on my GX. 29 miles in strong headwinds, half of it uphill-one continious hill. At the end, was down to 10% battery. Guessing on a normal less windy day, do the trip with 20-30% left, giving me a potential range of close to 40miles. Was going to go today...

    Stop Theft?

Got my new GoCycle, realized its got an on off switch, but no key, no easy way to stop a thief from nabbing it. Other than a chain, any suggestions on how to disable it?

GoCycle Best Way to Deter Thieves

Just got a GoCycle GX. It has an on/off switch but no key. Other than a chain of some sort, is there a clever way to disable it, to stop the opportunistic thief?

    New GX Today

Got my GX today, its busy charging, so far 30% after 1.45 hours, very frustrating not being able to ride. Got the front paneer, very clever design, good quality product, should be for the price. Seems like it will hold quite a lot of wine, beer and other essentials. Got a handle bar mirror...

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

Its no good emailing them, you got to call and keep calling. They covered a warranty claim with a local bike shop for me, I paid, texted the invoice and they sent me a check. Other than that the NESS has been great. Its now well out of warranty, so when/if it fails, I’ll get it repaired locally...

Anybody tried out the GX yet?

I’m just about to pull the trigger on a GX, need a lightweight folding bike to take on and off my boat. Is the new GXi battery available as a separate purchase yet. I want to try regular GX first to see if that will meet my needs. Tx

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

OK, 4/6/18. Just called Ness tech support to see if anyone was there, 3rd ring they picked up. Talked with Jonathon. So I’m now more encouraged and feel like recommending this bike. It is a good value and a well put together complete machine. If tech support is now up and running you should...

Modifying Kick Stand on Ness Icon or Rua, so it doesn’t, foul pedal crank.

Trivial but annoying the pedal crank fouls the kick stand when you back pedal. Simple but effective fix. Take kick stand off, put in up position. Drill a 3/32nd” pilot hole about 1/2”. Then drill 7/64th about a 1/4”. Using a #4-40x1/2” round head machine screw tighten it down all the way. In the...

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

Talking to myself here, but no matter, someone will join me soon. Went for test run on my wife’s Ness Icon today. 24 miles of mixed riding, including hills and headwinds. Mostly rode PAS 2-3, bits of 4 and burst of throttle to see how fast it would go with head winds- 18mph. Flicking between 1 &...

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

Bike is eventually running well, it was a frustrating week of staring at an unusable bike. Brake and speed issues both sorted-see comments above. Ness Icon is a good product. Well made, descent power, a real 20mph. Not sure about range yet, but with the way I ride, lots of 2-3 peddle assist...

? Suggestions/Referrals for Foldable Ebike with following features ?

After annaly researching for months, went with Rad Mini. We live on a boat in the summer and folding is essential. I couldn’t be more pleased with it. Comfort, performance, real 20mph+ & real 30+ mile range. Its probably a lot more, but longest ride I’ve done is 32miles. The fat tires and front...

Yep, its side stand. You only lift bike up about 1”, just so wheel clears.

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

Just in case anyone has to suffer through my wife’s Ness Icon issues, here are 2 cures for the top speed issue and brake issue. To set speed, after turning on display in normal way, hold top and bottom arrows down together on control module. You’ll get flashing KPH display, I set mine to...

Trying to get hold of Ness Tech Support

Got hold of Jonathan who quickly diagnosed the problem. The right rear brake safety cut off is set incorrectly, I.e. too sensitive. Motor is always in ‘killed’ position. He is sending me a video to adjust the sensitivity. Think I know how to do it, but going to wait until I see the video. I can...
