Is there any physical/hardware difference between 500w, 18A and 750w, 25A BBS02B motors? I am wondering if the 500w spec could or should ever be run up to 25A?

Maybe? Although she rarely if ever uses the thumb throttle and definetly prefers pedal assist. I guess I could try opening up the thumb throttle to see if any moisture is collecting inside and/or remove the thumb throttle altogether to make for one less component to suspect.

It's for an enclosed, recumbent tadpole trike project and I'm thinking about a drive that would allow reversing direction. So the two common options would be a DD hub or a left side drive mid-motor without freewheeling. Another option I suppose could be the Grin Technologies GMAC hub.
