No, I don't hold the button down. I just found that occasionally, when I don't have assistance on, the up button fails to switch on the assistance, but using the down button will take me into ECO mode. Once I have done that, the up button seems to work normally.

I have found that I can get it working by using the down arrow for assist, even though it is in assist level 0.
