    Qualisports owners?

I really liked the Stash when I test ride it s couple years ago. It was the weight that was an issue since I was going to be toting around; the Volador is also a bit heavy for how I am using it and it wouldn’t fold down to a small enough size for me. The price also; for me, it was hard to...

    Qualisports owners?

Tested the Stash before. Got the Dillenger. 1800 vs 700 dollar bikes. I ride road/fixed/cyclocross so I’m used to no suspension. Regardless you can’t go wrong with either the Stash or the Dolphin/Volador.

    Qualisports owners?

I don’t care for any plastic folding pedals so that’s the first to go regardless of the bike. As far as saddles, that’s always a personal preference so I went with Origin8 which I use on all my bikes. Everything else is stock; I’ve had it for about a week and compared to the Dillenger it’s a...

    Qualisports owners?

Qualisports owner here. I have the Nemo since have a very short commute; 1.5 miles each way, mainly flats with a small incline. I bought it from a local shop here in the Bay Area. I was in the same boat as you in terms of not wanting to invest heavily. I already had a Juiced Cross Current Air...

Travel for work by truck, sometimes van. Folding ebikes under $500. Folding ebike owners, please advise!

Been using/folding/riding a Dillenger Opia as a daily commuter for 2 years. Rides great where the only issue I’ve had is flats. Although the front wheel is quick release, the rear is an axle with a nut. Other than that I’d recommend around that price point.

    Dillenger Opia 2.0

Almost two years later and the Opia is still my “last mile” (maybe more like last 2 mile each way) commuter. The opia is a solid bike, no problems at all with the motor, battery doesn’t seem to have degraded, no tuning needed on the derailleur, slight brake cable adjustment (but that’s...

    Dillenger Opia 2.0

Almost one year later and the Opia still runs strong as a daily commuter. No modifications although I think this year I’m gonna splurge on fenders. Absolutely a blast to ride. As far as the battery, I don’t really think about it as my commute is about 4 miles round trip on the highest pedal...

    Dillenger Opia 2.0

I didn’t go disc as I think the Vs work well. I haven’t had any problems with the wheels/spokes breaking so it’s a bummer to hear you have problems. I would think you could rebuild the wheel based on the hub but I’m no wheel expert. I did flat on the rear and that was actually not bad to take...

    Pedego Latch test ride

The Jolt looks a lot like the Dillenger Opia that I use as a daily commuter. Minus the mag wheels. https://dillengerelectricbikes.com/electric-bikes/folding-electric-bikes/opia-by-dillenger.html

    2017 Voltbike Urban

Dillenger Opia Was less than $900 shipped (to Oakland, CA). I like it better for my commute than the Juiced Cross Current Air. The Opia has a 250w motor but honestly, it feels peppy when compared to the Air’s 500w. Both were internet purchases (ie no test rides). I probably would have just...

CrossCurrent Air first...now Dillenger Opia for commuter

I agree. Mechanical disc brakes to me are equivalent to v brakes. Either way, I am liking this Opia (just went for a quick spin) and it is pretty simple as a whole. Oh, I think the only thing I'd change is the six speed derailleur s. I think I will try a 1 x 10 for kicks.

CrossCurrent Air first...now Dillenger Opia for commuter

This Opia is pretty sweet so far. Wished it had disc vs V brakes but it's an aesthetic thing to me. And for less than 800 bucks it's such a great deal. But I have a few non- ebikes (single speed Trek Soho, 20 speed Fuji Tread, nexus 8 frankenbike) but wanted an option to get to work without...

CrossCurrent Air first...now Dillenger Opia for commuter

Hi all I went from a CrossCurrent Air (the new 500w version) to an electric folder, Dillenger Opia. I kind of wish I went the folder route first but I didn't have a frame of reference. Do I regret the CrossCurrent? Not really but it isn't what I need for a 4 mile round trip (mainly flat but...

    Dillenger Opia 2.0

Hi all I just received my Dillenger Opia today (see below link for the US version). I was in the market for a folding electric bike and this fit the bill, literally and figuratively. The price was right and figured I'd give it a whirl after entering the ebike foray via the Juiced CrossCurrent...

Interesting. I actually like the fact it's tight as I don't want to rattle around. Otherwise, great bike (other than the weight...). That S mode is crazy fast.

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have the new Air and I take the battery out every time I park at work. I haven't had an issue with the power, then again I'm pushing the battery hard for connectivity and weeks later, it's still a tight fit.

    Thoughts on CrossCurrent Air?

Fresh off cutting 2-1/4" on either side (I over-estimated one side and had to compensate). In the process lobbed off a whopping 1.55 ounces. (I'm being facetious about weight as the bike weighs a ton regardless).

    Thoughts on CrossCurrent Air?

Funny! I was JUST about to shorten them this evening cause it really is too wide for my taste. I'm gonna use a pipe cutter to take off 2 inches on both sides. Then I'm going to trim the left grip since it'll be too long. Going to try that and if I have to, I'll just go buy some short grips from...

    Thoughts on CrossCurrent Air?

The battery was not installed in the bike, right? The first time was a little difficult as I wasn't sure if the battery had been installed before (which I'm guessing wasn't). It took a few minutes to figure out how to slap it in to snap it ("slap it to snap it"...i should trademark that)...
