Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Listen to this...sounds bad. My bike is 2 months out of warranty and only got 1300 miles before the motor broke.

So they think it might be the gearing INSIDE THE MOTOR which would totally suck...I have 1300 miles on it and I use it to commute.

Not the brakes because it only happens when under powered drive. Could it be the motor?

Also the problem only happens when there is anything pushing down on the bike. I noticed I lost a screw holding on the rack but when I fixed that the sound still happens.

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have a horrible grinding/rubbing noise I can't identify coming from the rear end. It only happens when under power and disappears when I get to speed. Maybe the brakes?

    Maxxis Hookworms

I have about 1200 miles on the original tires, and I've had two tubes (one front, and one rear) go, but the tires were still good though quite worn as you can see. Plus you can see how flat they are in the middle compared to a motorcycle tire because you're not learning as much as often. I'm...

ebIkes.ca got back to me saying the torque sensor won't be available for a while as they're redesigning it.

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I've upgraded the middle sprocket to a larger one and it's probably the best upgrade you can now add power in all the PAS settings without spinning your wheels. I sandwiched it in between two sprocket guards because I found the chain came off a lot on the stock setup.

RadRover Upgrades - Torque Sensor / Hydraulic Brakes / More

Thanks so much. What about the torque sensor? It's a pricey upgrade and doesn't seem easy to find either. I think I'll stick with the 48 v/ 13.5 when it's time for a new battery as recommended.

RadRover Upgrades - Torque Sensor / Hydraulic Brakes / More

Sweet. Does 52v give "more power" vs 48 or is it all about longevity? Just picked up my bike from shop, installed the proper 2.5" tubes and the new suspension seat post.

RadRover Upgrades - Torque Sensor / Hydraulic Brakes / More

I got Hydraulic disc brakes but didn;t realize the whole engine cutoff issue so I've ordered the Bafang magnetic engine cutoff. Does the upgraded sensor make a big difference? I've also added electric horn, X-grip for iPhone, rear lights, rack, and Maxxis Hookworms. Finally, is it possible to...

    Maxxis Hookworms

So I can tell you don't use slightly too big tubes. I had to walk half way home when the rear one popped out. ---- Do you guys usually take the wheels off as is to replace the tires or do you put the bike on a bike stand because it weighs 70 lbs? I've actually developed tennis elbow from...

    Maxxis Hookworms

I also have an upgraded main sprocket to 40mm and it's great I highly recommend it for more power to the pedals. I've done a few miles with the new tires and I can agree it's a night and day difference. Bike is way quieter, the back tire doesn't rub the fender (I had to zip tie it to the back...

    Maxxis Hookworms

Thanks a lot. As noted they got them on but they're very tight on the stock tubes. The correct ones are on the way. Regardless the bike felt much lighter on the ride home from the shop.

    Maxxis Hookworms

Managed to get them on with the stock tubes but I've ordered the correct ones.

    Maxxis Hookworms

Do you have any tips for installing the Maxxis hookwork 2.5" on the Rad Rover? My guy didn't even try he said they're too small but I checked the size against what you guys recommended and it's right. Do I need a different tubes like you got
