    New Bike

Thanks, No, the stock seat was like something from the Inquisition. This one is made by Bell called the ERG. I've had it for 2 years and it's just like the day I got it. I bought it at Wallmart for $20. It wasn't bad, but adding the Kinekt really smoothed things out.

    New Bike

Ok, this is a one month update on my Specialized 2021 Turbo Vado 4.0 Step Through. I have about 400 miles on it. Lately I've been using Smart Control....really cool, a master hill climber here in Western Pa. As you can see, I've added a Kinekt seatpost....rides like a dream. Based on opinions...

Tuning Vado SL with Mission Control app

I tried your suggested settings ECO 35/35 SPORT 60/60 Turbo 100/100. I took the same route and it was significantly better in two ways. It made me feel the difference in the modes and and made for more practical peddling. And it cut down battery consumption by about 15%. So thanks for getting me...

    Display Heart Rate on TCD?

Thanks sealevelguy....I have a t31 polar strap and a Garmin strap and neither the MCA nor the TCD recognizes them. But you've given me a direction to go. I'm going to look into the Wahoo straps you mentioned and probably order one.

    Display Heart Rate on TCD?

Will the Wahoo heart monitor strap work with the MCA and the TCD and how do you pair it. The manual is vague at best. I don't want to screw up the display and not be able to reverse what I did wrong. Thanks

Tuning Vado SL with Mission Control app

When I had a normal bike, the Cannondale Quick 2 I dreaded the last hill to my house, though I could make it. Then heart issues emerged and hence the Electric Bike. I wouldn't say I have strong legs, but sufficient. That's why I can make this hill in ECO 65/100. The limiting factor is my heart...

Tuning Vado SL with Mission Control app

Ok, the weather broke and I got a chance to try some new settings. I left ECO at 65/100, but changed SPORT to 85/100 and TURBO to 100/100. ECO is very "peppy", I don't know how else to describe it. It really takes off and likes high cadence for the hills and will climb any hill on my normal...

front chain ring question for Vado 4

My advice is if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What I mean is if it's not skipping, slipping, making noise etc, let it go until it does. Then check the derailleure settings and chain length and make the change then.

Mission Control with a Garmin or Wahoo

I'm getting that same straight line, which ruins an otherwise good map display. Fortunately I also have a Garmin which works perfectly. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks.

Tuning Vado SL with Mission Control app

Thanks for the insight Stefan...As soon as the weather clears I'll give those settngs a try. I'm 70 and still fairly fit, but hill climbing is becoming an increasing issue.

Tuning Vado SL with Mission Control app

Ok, here's my experience. I have a Turbo Vado 4.0 Step Through. Not an SL, but the principles will be the same. My first ride the settings were, ECO Support 35, Peak Power 100; SPORT Support 35, Peak Power 100; TURBO Support 35, Peak Power 100. I have a 15 mile route with about 50% flat and 50%...

    Heart Rate Monitor Recommendations

Thank you for the informative reply. The Polar strap is a T31, what ever that means. There's a Wahoo strap that looks like it might work. Why can't Specialized just tell us what works, it's their App! What's the big secret?

    Heart Rate Monitor Recommendations

I have a Garmin chest strap and it works with the Garmin Edge 500. I also have a Polar strap that works with an elliptical machine. I tried, but get no pairing so far...not sure if I'm doing something wrong....so what steps do I take to pair either of these with the Mission Control App and the...

    New Bike

Yes, I've put about 40 miles on it,....solid ride, I'm riding it with the stock settings, my next step is to adjust it to my liking with the Mission Control App. I wanted to ride it as I got it for a while to get a baseline feel.

    Motor Burnout

The specifics...it was a 2016 Easy Motion with Dapu hub motor, 350 watts I believe. It had no throttle and had 4 assist levels.

    New Bike

Just wanted to show you my new bike, got it last week. Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 Step Thru.....ordered a Kinekt seatpost for it. Built like a tank.

    Motor Burnout

When climbing long steep hills I'm reluctant to put it in turbo because I'm afraid of burning out the motor, especially on hot days. Is this a realistic fear? I once had a bike that would shut down if I left it too long on turbo while climbing hills. Thanks

Turbo Vado SL 4 EQ - Questions about power management and Mission Control

Thanks for the responses. Ok, I won't worry about it, but I wonder why they wouldn't apply to the Turbo Vado 4.0 (It's not an SL). Anyway I'm looking forward to trying out the Support and Peak Power adjustments.

Turbo Vado SL 4 EQ - Questions about power management and Mission Control

I just picked up my Turbo Vado 4.0, after 40 miles, so far so good. So I decided to try the Mission Control App. I connected but I only get the TUNE screen with only Support and Peak Power. Acceleration Response and Shuttle do not appear. I reinstalled the App, but the same issue. Any advice...
