I’ve been riding with the Smart Sam tires for several thousand miles and really love them. They’re a great balance between paved roads and trails. I run 40+ in them and find that they’re efficient for longer rides and can easily handle the trails.
An FYI for the E-14 riders; note that Rohloff has firmware updates available for the E-14 mechanism. It's a simple Android app (no iPhone app yet) that will download firmware and connect to your E-14 via Bluetooth to install. I was getting various error codes on my Intuvia screen that were...
I have this exact issue as well. If I try and access the main review page, it’s extremely slow to load on Mojave and on my iPad. It will eventually load, but is very slow and takes forever to complete. The forum pages load fine and quickly.
I experienced some of these same issues, and firmware updates have addressed many of my problems with the E-14 over the last 6 months. My biggest obstacle when I took delivery of my Delite E-14 was learning how to adapt to the E-14's limitations when trying to shift along with the very weak...
Nice layout - my R&M Delite E-14 can't touch that! I'm wanting a KIOX for mine, but too many negatives so far. I wish car manufacturers would take a cue from the bike world and design a steering wheel that the individual drive can customize.
I ride with the light on pretty much all the time when I’m on the bike and have not noticed any battery drain issues or have I had any other problems. I was curious about battery drain, but after a long 60 mile ride with on, all seemed fine on my setup and met my expectations.
The Delite nmountain version I recently bought only came with the smaller Busch and Muller light and I upgraded to the m99 Pro. I agree the pro version makes a huge difference over the other versions and is worth the extra $. R&M have been historically rather slow to update their website when...
I read that the Rohloff can leak under certain conditions. Here’s their explanation; https://www.rohloff-au.com/faq-oil-leaks
Let us know what you find out about your leak.
I took possession of a Delite Rohloff mountain about 10 days ago and have had some time to ride it and here are some brief comments on the setup. I previously had a Delite Nuvinci model last summer that was stolen (long story for another time, but the thieves had to work hard to get it and they...
I also have an Easyfold and bought it exactly for the fender issues with the Kuat and my Delite. The Easyfold works very well and I love the size of it once it's folded up!
I wanted to be able to ride in the snow, so having the tight touring fenders on the mountain model seemed prone to accumulate snow/mud buildup under the fenders. I will install mountain mud flaps and fenders on the down-tube and the front and rear wheels and see how that works before looking at...
The mountain setup is different than the touring models and the chain tensioner is one of the design differences. I'm wondering if its there to accommodate more rear shock travel than is needed on the touring models? I've also heard there maybe an issue with the size of the Rohloff hub on the...
I ordered a Rohloff Delite Mountain back in January and am anxiously waiting for it to arrive. I had spent some time riding a Delite Nuvinci last summer but wanted the Rohloff E-14 version and the mountain model is the only version that supports the E-14. I too will be using it for light trail...
