    EBike Shaming

One of my favorite comebacks is, "hey whatever gets someone's ass onto a bike seat and pedaling should be celebrated! If you believe in cycling then you should want to see as many people as possible on a bike, regardless of the type of bike being used. That's one less person being a couch potato."

    Noise pedaling Brose

Did you purchase your Bulls from a local bike shop in your area? If yes, you should take it to them and have them diagnose what's going on and fix it.

DIY - Adding a simple pocket to a pannier

I didn't notice any smell and I used the glue while sitting on my couch. This hasn't been the first time I've used this particular glue. It's only 'downside' is that it takes 24 hrs to cure so it's not like a superglue that is set in 30 seconds or so.

Good (Single) Pannier - Direct From China (AliExpress)

Since my pannier doesn't have any pockets, not even inside, I created my own inside pocket using part of a mousepad I had laying around and some Liquid Fusion Glue The pink dotted line shows the perimeter where I applied the glue. This picture shows the inside of my pannier bag, with the...

DIY - Adding a simple pocket to a pannier

I purchased an inexpensive waterproof single pannier from China. It's like the Ortleib Sport Rollback in shape. My pannier has no pockets, not inside or outside. I decided to create my own inside pocket. Materials: - Unused neoprene mousepad, cut into the size I wanted for the pocket +...

    Tariffs and eBike Prices

I think it's a fantasy that all these bicycle companies, including ebike companies, are going to suddenly shift their manufacturing to the U.S. Maybe if they got a huge tax break on doing so (upwards of 30% or more) they'd be inclined to think about the U.S., but there's no such incentive...

Anyone file a battery warranty claim?

All you can do is contact them and see what they say. Maybe they'll allow you to replace the battery at their cost. As for the security of the locking/latching mechanism, I think you'll need to come up with a strategy on securing that battery to the bike frame so that even if the battery...

Price increases coming - tariff on ebikes, kits, motors, is now 'official'

These bicycle and ebike-related tariffs make me so angry (yes I signed the People for Bikes petition several weeks ago). Not to get political, but this is yet another reason, of many, I will do my part to vote to get anyone out of office at my first opportunity who supports this and other...

Could there be a way to list where we live?

Here's an easy-peasy idea that will cost $0. 1. Make a new dedicated thread or "sub-forum" called "Members by Geography" for each region of the U.S. as well as International. 2. Then, make a separate thread for each geographical area ("Northeast US" Southeast US, Central US, Southwest US...

    BH 2019 Models

By March 2019 there should be a good stock of 2019 bikes. It was March 2015 when I was finally able to get my 2015 Easy Motion Street and that had been announced the previous September at Interbike. More time to save up $$$$!

    The Poor Man's Battery Saver/Satiator: a $10 Outlet Timer?

I realized my digital light timer has, in addition to standard time on/time off programming, which is the function I've used over the last several years for lights, a "countdown timer." I thought I might need to purchase one that does countdown, but I don't! The model I have: Utilitech #0155671
