    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

My 750W BBS02 is over 18 months old and has done about 6500km (foldable Land Rover frame). I'm on the second battery. I killed the first one after about 4500km. There have been a lot of problems with the bike - very few of them electrical. Does your bike die immediately you hit the throttle or...

    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

I'm on Battery #2. The old battery started playing up around 4500km. It was a 48v 10Ah LiFeP04. It got weaker and weaker. Eventually cutting out all the time. Initially I thought this was a controller problem. Replaced the controller. Seemed to go ok for 500m then back to the old problem...

    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

Mid drive is definitely the way to go. 1000w at 48v is a huge power demand even for a 20Ah battery. Make sure you look for a battery that can cope with well over 20A continuous current (40A would be good). While this will make your bike heavier, when it comes to power, more is better. My BBS02...

    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

Another thing to consider is the type of battery. While bigger is better, it's not just a matter of size. The batteries have different cell types inside and some will do a faster discharge than others. My 10ah 48v 750w system will not run on full power with anything less than half a charge in...

    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

Has anyone had this... My BBS02 750w 48v with a 10aH LiFePO4 now has done about 1750 km. Just recently the power has started to cut out intermittently. It's often while accelerating or changing up with the throttle on. Sometime after going over a bump. The motor stops delivering power, after a...

    BBS02 750w dissapointingly unreliable

Very sorry to hear it dead so quickly. I have the BBS02 750w 48v and have done just over 1500 km (just commuting). The motor and battery etc have been flawless. The rest of the bike has been falling apart. I recently had to replace the rear wheel because something went terribly wrong with the...

    mid drive 8Fun

Thanks Robert for the re-programming link but that looks way to scary for me. This may sound silly but I only set 3 levels of PAS. At level 3 I think it runs about 50% power and full power with the throttle so I never setup any more. Does someone have specs on the power levels for each PAS...

    mid drive 8Fun

Your controller is probably the C961. Download the manual for this. It won't show amps, volts or watts. Setting the PAS limit speed is pretty simple. You could set it for 30km/h. The throttle will override the pas limit.

    Gearing Issue

I recommend you to do a lot more than 50 miles before changing anything. That said, I have the same problem. My bike is a 7 speed and I use top gear most of the time. My pedal cadence at cruising speed is 85rpm and I would love to slow this down a bit. Accouring to ...
