I’m curious if anyone is planning on commuting with a Hydra. I’m thinking the Salsa bend bar (23 degrees), Kindernay, and a a rear rack might make for a plush comfortable ride. Perhaps those that already have theirs may have some good insight into the feasibility of this?

Couple questions about this new upgrade option: 1. Who should be considering upgrading to this fork? Off-roaders and trail riders? 2. Is the $850 upgrade price correct? MSRP on the Auron looks to be 699, 1099 for the Fox.

I’m looking for a year round commuter that is also capable of off road mtb trails in the area (southeast Wisconsin). Class 3 is a must and bonus points for a fully integrated downtube battery. Budget is 3-5k, would want the higher end of that range to have something like a belt drive or Rohloff.
