Putting a new ebike store on the EBR map

I'm posting here only because everything else I've tried hasn't worked. An ebike store, Corvallis Electric Bicycles, opened over the summer in Corvallis, Oregon. I was the first one to purchase one their bicycles. I'd love to get them on the EBR map of ebike stores, but after emailing the site...

High Mileage - How do you do it?

I've seen some posts (I forget which thread) where riders have reported super high mileage on a single charge. I think one was about 150 miles, with hills included. I'm very impressed, but I know I'd never get anything close, unless maybe I had nothing but flat terrain and never left the lowest...

Latex Gloves for Cold Weather Riding

Anybody out there use a thin latex glove under their regular gloves in cold weather? I'm thinking they would act as a vapor barrier.

    Thudbuster Alternative?

A well-meaning sibling sent me a Thudbuster LT seat post. The original post has suspension, but nothing as beefy as the Thud. Problem is, it raises my seat height about 1.5 inches, which is a bummer. I really wanted to try it. Anybody know of a shorter option? Thanks

    Shifting Technique with Internal Hub

I'm playing around with downshifting technique on uphills with a internal hub (Shimano Nexus Inter 7 powered by a Bosch Performance Line mid-drive motor). Wondering what approaches others have found the most efficient/effective. For instance: Sometimes I stop pedaling completely for a split...

    Goggles that fit over eyeglasses?

I'm looking for a pair of riding goggles that fit over prescription eyeglasses so I can stop the tears that pour out of my eyes during cold weather commutes. I can barely see anything for a little while on steep downhills -- not good. Any suggestions? The Kroop's Over Eyeglass model...

    Attaching My Taillight

I'm trying to figure out how to mount my old taillight (Cygolite Hotshot) -- or any standard taillight -- on my ebike. It had been mounted on the seat post of my regular bicycle, but on the ebike it's completely hidden in that position. There's already a light on the Kalkhoff, but it has only...

First Battery Use: Drain It Entirely?

I've read and heard (who knows the reliability) that the first time after fully charging a new battery and starting to ride with it, that you should ride the bike until the battery is completely drained (or very close to it). True, false, not that simple....? Thanks RS

If you had to choose one lock...

So, if you had to choose one lock for your ebike, which one would it be? My first ebike (modified Kalkhoff B7) will be ready in a couple of days. At first I'll keep it only in my garage/home or my office. But I hope to use it for quick errands at some point. PS: I am aware that every bike...

    First E-Bike Today

Hi there. I live in Corvallis, OR, a bike-crazy town that's perennially rated as one of the most bike friendly small towns in the U.S., with miles and miles of bike lanes and paved/gravel. Something like 10-15% of the population rides to work. A new ebike store, Corvallis Electric Bikes, opened...
