More importantly than watts are the Neuton Meters of torque. There are bikes with 250 watt mid-drive motors and have 90 Nm of torque that are under 19 Kg. and can do some offroad. I am not sure of support in your area.
You replied to someone I hit the ignore button on a couple of years ago. I do not recall who but they were spouting garbage. Now I will do it to another. Done. Chargeride is ignored.
@Chargeride, I am about to ignore you. It is because of the racism, sexism, and climate denial. Mauna Loa was shut down because of its real observations. One more climate denial, racist, or sexist peep, and you are ignored by me.
This is very good to know. Yes, that is no way to build relationships with dealers. REI sells them. I do respect them for not just making bikes for 30 years for the majors to profit from, but to bring it all in house and bringing their work directly to the market. They were exploited for too...
It is funny when we keep being told to not believe what we see such as climate change. And instead are distracted by divide and conquer social divisions.
Years ago I made a 'noodle bike' like that. It rode like a wet noodle. It was a steel mixite in a deep red with a touch of burgundy and had pairs of bright blue accent stripes on the fork and seat stays. I was working for the HQ of the company at the time and got it new at less than half price...
It is a distraction to divert attention from economic issues such as the wealth gap and things like climate charge. All the things that actually matter. Like a magician's trick, look over here, and not what I am really doing. It is to stir up hate and direct it from where it really should land...
I saw a shirt today at Know Wings. It said Muck Fuxk. Yes some bad salads such as The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and If You Could Read My Mind. Not many bad love salads make an analogy to a well gishing whost. He is still played on the radio in the provinces. Yes, I made the 51st state joke...
This one is a Como 4 $3,400 class bike. But costs 59% of the money and has a more powerful motor, again with a throttle to 20 mph and pedals to 28. I am not into throttle bikes but many commuters want that optionality as backup if maybe their knee is sore that day, or to help get started form a...
This company has made bikes for the majors for 30 years. This fitness bike comes in at 37-pounds with 85Nm. It has a throttle to 32 Kph and pedals to 45. And it has plenty of local dealers for test rides and support.
What part of the Republic of China are Specialized bikes made in? My 2024 Vado just said Made in China. What language do they speak there and what kind of food do they eat? Chinese? There is nothing wrong with it, I wouldn't expect them to speak Hungarian or to eat German or Swiss food. Mandarin...
@S.Giles, Moving parts must have just enough room for things to move, such as the BB shaft at the crank. That space can allow for water incursion. I have found that putting a little plumbers silicone O-ring grease there helps to prevent it. The same goes for mid-drive motors. The grease will...
A bunch of brands are selling wizz-bang gizmos that require stuff like pairing to a phone, instead of selling solid reliability. I think you are correct. Simple is better.
How hard was it to get a couple of demo bikes? The stats are all really good. They look so cool. Dual power meters built in! I recall when that just an aftermarket feature was like $2200, not installed. No range extenders for them yet. Don't name margins but to sell them you must be okay. Some...
