getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

My only question is if it is a "Road HG" freehub body. It is longer than the "MTB HG" one. EDIT: @fooferdoggie my buddies told me your freehub body was MTB HG because you could use a 11-36T 11-speed cassette with no extra washer. The 11-36T 12-speed cassette is longer by 1 millimetre and you...

You wouldn't believe. When I and my pack were teenagers, we could see the Steven Spielberg's "Duel" in the cinema (we could be, well, 13 at that time). After seeing the film, we started driving into one another on our bikes, yelling "I will drive you over!" How our bicycles survived that is...

What a wonderful journey, Jeremy! Two thoughts: You could install a dropper post on your Vado SL 1 if you installed a wireless drivetrain :D (I'm now the last person to recommend it, and yes, the cost!) A merry one: If you began your post with "Or, " or "Or, when " then you would immediately...

American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

Joe, @Chargeride was joking :) Metric sizes in Europe and elsewhere in the world are standardized and practical, just saying. It might be hard to get it by an American but it is the fact. Besides, I wonder how Chargeride describes his body height. I'm 173 cm, or 1.73 m. The best metric...

American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

I don't think so :) Regarding different sizes of bicycle parts, many are certainly inherited from English ones. Nobody, however, makes the fuss with, say, 27.2 or 31.8 mm. What is great are the standard hex sizes in cycling! For instance, Yes (we use 15 mm for that) but good pedals can be...

American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

@jabberwocky: Before the hard times of nowadays, I bought Mirrycle mirrors for several times. As long as the product came from Amazon, all sockets were hex 3 mm despite Mirrycle is an American product. Once, I bought a Mirrycle from a strange seller in Germany. That crook sent me a mirror with...

American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

A typical metric car wrench set. The 15 mm bicycle wrench is not here. I also think I needed M18 for the nuts for the hub-drive motor. I don't think Torx has any relation to Metric or American sizes. I own this kit, just in case. I hardly ever need it.

American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

10/16? :) (Sorry, I don't know!) A fun fact: M15 is not among standard car wrenches but, ironically, it is met on older bicycles with the wheel mounted to fork drops by a metric nut. On last Saturday, my mate Krzysiek was to replace the inner tube in his vintage bike. I wanted to help him...

This can be easily explained. The system of your Dolan has a wheel circumference value stored. It happens more often than not that the distance or speed are reported wrongly by the e-bike. Does your Polini app allow adjusting the wheel circumference figure? If yes, please gradually decrease the...

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

I had a failed chain on one of the first rides on my first e-bike (a hub drive one). I didn't even know what the "chain tool" meant at that time. The fact you have never had a failed chain does not mean the Quick Link is not reusable :)

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

Steve, the chain does not fail that often. It last failed last Winter when I was on a ride in Warsaw. Well, i got into a railway station building. I didn't have the TL-CN10 with me. Using a chain tool, I removed a failed chain link (it was not a master link). Then I produced a spare Quick Link...
