Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

The knees seem far from done with their current rebellion, but they're letting me get away with 10-15 mi coast rides every few days now. Few better ways to spend those precious miles than a chipotle aioli dog or machaca taco run south to Moonlight Beach. Such a gorgeous September day...

Welcome aboard! We'd love to see more of your bike in the places you ride. My 3 favorite forum threads are the ones for sharing ride photos. https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/2025-our-rides-in-words-photos-maps-and-videos.57230/...

Yet another Vado SL tire thread

Can't help with puncture resistance or the tubed vs. tubeless part, but don't feel that you have to stick with a semi-slick like the Pathfinder for the sake of speed on pavement. My Vado SL 1 EQ feels vastly more sure-footed on mixed surfaces after changing just my front tire from a 38 mm...

    Vado SL 4.0 12-Speed Conversion

Just turned 78, and believe me, you're not alone in this. To date, the errors have generally been annoying and sometimes time-consuming but luckily not costly money-wise. Trying to pay closer attention only seems to go so far, so the priority now is to fix the screw-ups before the missus notices.

Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

Anyone suffering from acute bike racing withdrawal after the Vuelta would do well to watch at least the last 30-40 km of yesterday's Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal. Lots of big names and great racing with del Torro and Seixas eventually out front, first cooperating to stay clear and then...

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Yes, to the tune of tens of millions of $$$ and many thousands gallons of diesel fuel for the dredges, pumps, and heavy equipment. In the last 3 years, all the beaches from Del Mar to Oceanside have been replenished with sand, and nearly all of that's somewhere offshore now. Moonlight Beach...

    Throttles and California

I'd pay them $100 to throw away the key next time. This guy's the worst kind of internet influencer. In pandering to disaffected young male outlaw wannabes on Surron-like machines, he's already done irreversible damage to legal ebiking.

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Yesterday's 15 mi coast ride with neighbor DW was bittersweet. Sweet because my !#$^&*! knees had finally calmed down enough to ride for the first time in over 2 weeks, and it was a beautiful day to be out in the saddle again. Sweet also because I really had to avoid pissing off my knees, and...

    Just for fun...

All in my Android via the Chrome browser. We should forget this example, as I don't think I've ever linked a YT post before. I generally link YT videos and shorts using the URLs YT gives me, not from the address bar. Maybe 80-90% get a thumbnail automatically. The rest stay a text link forever...

You're right about it not really being a video. Didn't notice that. Thought it was a short. But I've also had real video links fail to get a thumbnail. I prefer thumbnails.

I'll try it! ADDENDUM: Dang, still no thumbnail. In retrospect, I think I used the Share button the first time as well.

Anyone understand why forum software adds video thumbnails to some YouTube links pasted into messages here, but not to others, like the post quoted above?

Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

Speaking of injuries yesterday, any word on the guy moaning in agony on the ground at the same corner and time that Riccitello fell? Roll thought he might just be gasping for air after getting the wind knocked out of him. But that was wishful thinking. I think he had a significant injury with...

Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

One thing this Vuelta's taught me: The good and bad news about pro racing is that humans are involved. The sport's become highly technical, with success depending inherited physiology, training, and equipment. But you can't ignore the role of emotion — hope, confidence, aggressiveness...

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Fascinating, Captain! I've never seen a sign like that anywhere. Maybe something about your bridleways confuses the algorithms that deem potential route segments OK to suggest. Don't recall Google Maps driving mode ever routing me onto something I couldn't drive in a normal car. However, no way...

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

One beauty of a good GPS mapping app: You can do pretty good recon of a potential route just by zooming in on it in satellite view. You can easily see gates, bike infrastructure or lack thereof, single vs double track, etc. As @Rás Cnoic suggested, even better if you also have a topo (contour)...

2026 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Sounds plausible. But seems like sat nav should warn you that its suggested route includes a segment that might need an offroad vehicle. Like Google Maps warns me now that a route might go through restricted right of way like a gated community or private road.
