    Gearing change for Moscow

I would argue that it is a cutoff, and more power is indeed available. with the same controller and motor, the Magnum Peak uses a differently programmed C7 display to allow a 45kmph/28mph limit, in fact I think you can wind it all the way up to 99, of course the bike craps out long before that...

Moscow / Moscow+ Bike Rack bosses

I bought one when it was in stock for a few minutes at Leon Cycle (Canada) They are made by the same nebulous Chinese manufacturer who makes all the other clones... they fit several models in the NCM, Amego, Magnum etc. lines, and they "almost" fit... not the most practical shape but streamlined...

Tubeless Conversion on both RCS Started

I'm waffling on converting my tires while I change from nubbies to more of a commuter tire, but am afraid of similar outcome... it's an entry level ebike and the rims are obviously generic: some sort of "resin composite" aka plastic.

    29inch tubeless road tire?

I'm looking at Vittorio Terreno Graphene (Dry), 29x2.10 for mine to replace uber nubby Schwalbe Smart Sam at 29x2.25" looking for a little lower profile, definitely less rolling resistance, these have all the finesse of an army boot and leave a rooster tail like a drag a boat!

    NCM Moscow Trail Ride

In the EBR review of the Moscow Plus, a tapered spec is implied, although the stem on this fork is straight, the neck tube is HEADSET: Neco, Integrated, Threadless Internal Cups, Tapered 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" STEM: Promax, Alloy, 90mm Length, 31.8mm Clamp Diameter, One 15mm Spacer, Two 10mm Spacers...

    NCM Moscow Trail Ride

One of the reasons I spent the extra to get the Moscow Plus... tektro hydraulic 180mm front and rear, cut off to both brakes, slightly better forks, bigger battery... it was worth the extra $240 it cost at the time. An upgrade should be easy and available, if not cheap. There's a kit that uses...

What is different about the das-kit motors as opposed to bafang.

I believe it is basically rebranded mxus motor, so no it will have nylon gears (I can't prove it, but I know it's true)

    Battery Pack Dimensions

For one thing, your middle example is using lithium phosphate cells, which have lower nominal voltage for the 18650 size format, so would require more batteries to achieve the desired voltage, and the third example is only 14ah. which would use fewer cells to achieve that spec.

    Higher capacity batteries from Reention

lol I have been doing mad research as I've just purchased my Moscow Plus and wanted to ensure I got the best bang for my buck. As far as brand names go, NCM is represented in chemistry as LiNiMnCoO2 and it has advantages over other lithium ion formulations, like higher energy density, lower...

Alternative Display and Controller for NCM (DAS-KIT)

I've been looking into this issue, no confirmation but it appears the Das-Kit motor is a rebranded MXUS motor, so theoretically one of their controllers might be unrestricted. I'm not in a financial position to experiment, so it's a pipedream at present.

Known Issues & Problems with NCM Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I'm seeing alot of the experienced serious eMTB riders swearing by tubeless, seems to me it would be more prone to blowouts (although no more pinch flats). I don't quite see the advantage other than saving a little wheel weight... I suppose if you have sponsors, they do all the grunt work, and...

December 25, 2014? I'm assuming you just haven't set the date on your camera, or is your bike really 6 yrs old?

If that's all it was, do you still have the original parts that were replaced? If so- bonus!, I'd rather be trouble free, but if you now have spares, good on ya!

Known Issues & Problems with NCM Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I haven't even got my bike yet, it's in limbo between processing and delivery. Amazon shows it as shipped but so far no tracking no. I've contacted Ryan Ritchie (Seattle) on several occasions an get a response within 12-48 hrs.

    Higher capacity batteries from Reention

I think the higher voltage will give you higher potential speed on PAS, and it will take longer to reach the voltage at which the controller shuts down further assist.

    Higher capacity batteries from Reention

Sandro, the battery manufacturer is not the bike manufacturer. My concern is that NCM is named for a battery technology that is apparently absent from these cheaper brands... I'm seeing normal lithium ion cells, and I thought the big deal here was that lithium nickel cobalt manganese batteries...

    Loosing kgs

If you're going to invest in upgrades, the biggest change in both weight and performance would likely be better (air suspension) front forks.
