Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

Speak for yourself, these days I climb mountain paths on my fixie with 19mm tyres and a 52 - 9 gear 😂 😂 😂

I posted this on the "our Rides..." thread because it has more footfall and this looked so much fun: I love city centre racing at night. Like when Formula 1 started running under lights it adds a special excitement. This is where we need more mad ideas to get people interested in the sport...

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Wow. Never had that problem, or heard of it on here. 3 cranks? Something dodgy going on there. I have my Vado SL coming up for 6 years no issue like that (thank god). How old is the bike? Much mileage?

Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

Or 26er rigids! Back as a teen in the 80s we bombed down any trail we could find. Bunnyhopping holes, like those nasty water courses that gouge little ravines across the paths that are deadly. No suspension back then, 1.9 inch tyres, canti brakes but good low gears with 3x. Great competitions...

Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

You missed the bit where he said he has 30 miles of road to do before he gets to that ancient rocky Roman road.

    2026 FIFA World Cup

Scotland like Ireland (we didn't make the cut this time, again) make heavy weather at scoring. Great defences, make it hard for any attacking team no matter the reputation, but hard to get ball in the net, so a lot of torturous 1-0 or 1-1s. Torturous especially for the fans!

Dartmoor, so must be a gate to Faeryland surely!

The City of London Nocturnal took place last night in the Square Mile, first time in 8 years! and was a huge success. Great to see a Saturday night crit take place in the centre of London with large enthusiastic crowds. It works so well at night and in the middle of London! Dartmoor, so must...

Yes sorry. Rear 12x148 - industry standard for 29ers

Turbo Vado SL5 2022 wheelset recommendation

Hi Andy Spesh picked an awkward wheel axle size when they released the Vado SL! I was idly looking into this recently and I worked out my best bet was to get some 29er MTB XC wheels, these are lightweight and strong. The rear axle is the same axle size as a lot of 29ers; 12x110mm boost so a...

Saw him collapse at finish but that was oxygen debt from final climb effort, didn't realise he was still suffering from crash aftermath. You're right. Loads abandoned today for that reason, July is very close. Josh Tarling having collarbone surgery today, Geraint Thomas was saying that a week...

Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

Yeah be careful with AI, I was asking questions about a bike on ebay and it told me a downright lie, which I corrected and it said of course! You're right! then immediately got it wrong again. Have to double check stuff. Teravail Rutland look good. Your issue on the back is the stupidly low...

Another shopping trip so another excuse for some architecture pics. It's a very old town Mortonhampstead, on the edge of the moor. Slight Wickerman vibes...

Amazing recovery. Tuckwell has about 40secs lead going into final stages with 4 climbs and another big final climb, he won't make it but the battle behind is intriging. Think he should be ok re the cars. Commentator mentioned the narrow road and basically a slow traffic jab so little advantage...

Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

Also worth tweaking the gearing to go with the front sus off road gravel bike/mtb feel. I've got a 36 chainring on the front and went 11-46 on the rear from stock 44T and 11-40 (i think) makes the steep Dartmoor hills much easier and kinder on the motor as I can spin more, less feeling the motor...

Vado SL 4.0 with a suspension fork?

Superb work! Fascinating to see the ol' Vado with the sus forks. Didn't realise you were a tall lad, so funny for me (medium size, 5'10") to se such a massive triangle. Looks like it'll work. If the budget stretches to a lightweight suspension it will look and feel great I think. What tyres...

Good to know. Well not good. Was surprised and pleased to see Del Toro stay with Seixas. And the day after Mexico easily beat South Africa in the opening game World Cup.

With this one yes, especially if saving himself for next month plus he's not a climber. On a grand tour bit different, most try and finish and as we saw with Van Aert in the mountains at last year's Giro, he can be very very handy!.

Interesting developments all over the shop. Ineos boys nowhere, did Onley crash? Commentator wasn't sure. Everyone else except Del Toro out the back, but Del Toro looks good so far. Jorgenson cracked but not far off by end. And a new young climber from Oz, Luke Tuckwell. He's a good climber...
