American Customary (a.k.a Freedom) Units vs Imperial vs Metric

Thousandths of an inch is a hybrid between metric and imperial, and, in my own experience, are effectively the standard for machining tolerance (along with tenths and hundredths of a thousandth) worldwide. Why can't we all just get along?

An M2 AMFLOW should be able to be ridden fast on a 42.7km course with a single battery.

Do they use a suction dredge every few years to reclaim the sand? Some of our nicest beaches, both on the bay side and the ocean side, have tons of cobbles, put there by man to help with erosion.

    Throttles and California

He probably makes more than $1,000 a month in influencer crap. If they take him out behind the barn, he's got real problems.

They are not. All of them have been VPN configured. However, they are racing XC, not gravel, and the riders are skilled at power management. I don't know if your race was 100km or 100 miles, but either way, it would take a lot of battery management for a Gen1 AMFLOW bike to make that distance...

They don't need to. They keep it in low assist mode and use the boost button when they need to. It's very efficient. At least that's what's happening out here. The guys on Levos and Orbeas are getting smoked.

It is very much a mental game, from race preparation and visualization, to split second decisions.

I heard about Dunbar, but not the others. What an exciting finish to the Vuelta. The riders lobbied for a neutral start and to take time after the third lap, which all made sense. That last lap was HOT. So fun to watch.

I totally get that. The shifter is also very sensitive. If I accidentally touch the lever, it shifts, without a direct press. I love the Multishift, though. That makes up for the shortcomings. I have it set for: Tap - one cog One click - two cogs Full press - three cogs I think that might be...

My impression is that Roglic's and Remco's personalities are very much alike, and that's not a good thing.

I went from brand new 12 speed Deore mechanical to brand new 12 speed Deore XT Di2 on the Pinarello, and the difference is night and day. I am an admitted Di2 snob, but I'll say this. If your Di2, of any generation, is not shifting lightning quick, shift after shift, and feels like a step...

This is an absolutely brilliant analysis. I concur with every single word you wrote. Who knows if microdosing or peptides or whatever they are doing now was a factor. You can guarantee that Movistar is no Festina. If Movistar is doing it, so is everyone else. You stated the three main factors...
