Bike that can carry an extra rider

Did you end up finding a bike? If not happy to offer insight! We're a Yuba and Tern dealer and both have great options that feature the Bosch Cargo motor which is a complete game changer! Personally I ride a Tern GSD S10 LX, shown below! Great option that can haul a person or kiddos and with...

The Empire Strikes Back: Big Bike Brand Offers $2k 28 mph E-Bike w/Torque Sensor (Cannondale Adventure Neo Allroad S)

Eh, an obvious race to the bottom isn't great. That and their fulfillment of orders for dealers has dramatically fallen off. I suspect with the aquisition by PON they're going to focus on larger accounts (REI) and D2C sales, not to dissimilar to Specialized. Having said that, these "starter"...

    Gazelle Ultimate C380+ Panniers

The Ortlieb E-Mate would be my #1 option, it has a sleeve specifically designed for the Bosch 400/500wh Powerpack or Powertube batteries. Bags are sold individually and you can remove the battery sleeve should you want an open cargo hold...

The Empire Strikes Back: Big Bike Brand Offers $2k 28 mph E-Bike w/Torque Sensor (Cannondale Adventure Neo Allroad S)

Ah, interpreted your comment a bit differently. And a throttle to boot! Interesting race to the bottom from a formerly reputable company.

The Empire Strikes Back: Big Bike Brand Offers $2k 28 mph E-Bike w/Torque Sensor (Cannondale Adventure Neo Allroad S)

It's not their first hub motor, they used ebikemotion stuff on models in the past. As a Cannondale dealer, kinda bummed about the Bafang situation. Curious to see the battery safety rating and what they plan on doing from a service and warranty standpoint.

    Where to get R&M parts?

Did OP finally get replacement parts? For what it's worth I was able to snag a few sets of the R&M specific Fabric mounts. R&M informed me that they're no longer spec'ing the Fabric bottles on bikes (no explanation). Worth noting the distance of the front carrier bolts is the same as most...

R&M superdelite HS suspension adjustment help needed

Wait, you mean R&M not R&S, yeah? That's nuts that you can't get a separate battery, I stock them and we sell them in addition to the R&M battery covers. Sounds like the service is the problem, not the bike. Have you tried to find a different shop? The parts on the Superdelite aren't anything...

R&M superdelite HS suspension adjustment help needed

200psi is way to low for 140kg, I believe the shock will say max pressure but should be around 300psi I think. the front fork has a chart for approx rider weight and PSI range. Rule of thumb for the rear shock is 10-15% of the weight in lbs, in psi. So 100lbs=115psi ish. Rohloff bike? Rear...

Bike shop charging fee to upgrade mission control?

Depends on their business structure. Is it a flat "software update" fee? Or is it $75/hr (too low) with a 1hr min? Agreed that it's steep for and update but with the amount of bikes getting pumped into other markets it's somewhat understandable businesses want to be protective of revenue streams...

Bike shop charging fee to upgrade mission control?

Go take your car to it's dealer and see what they charge to plug it in... We do software updates during service and advise folks to come in at least annually (based on riding style/mileage) to save on trips to the shop. The updates are part of the service so there isn't a line item per se. That...

    Load 60 Second Battery Retrofit

Just to close the loop should someone be considering the same situation, you can absolutely add a 2nd battery to a Load, the frames are all the same. It's not the easiest thing putting all the parts together but the frame will accept the assorted parts, y harness, and mounting bits. That said...

Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH - The Nightmare Continues

FWIW I never said anyone needs to act as if they're to be "invited" but merely saying that it's a two way street, sounds like you're saying something similar. Couldn't agree more on the backwardness of the industry, pretty embarrassing really. It's absolutely your problem to pay for labor...

Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH - The Nightmare Continues

I think your expectations should come back to reality a little bit. Granted the warranty process in the cycling industry is a bit ass backwards, but the manufacture covering parts only is unfortunately the norm. Whether the shop wants to charge you for their time is their own business decision...
