found these silicone brake lever covers on aliexpress. best 2.00 I have spent. they really give a nice solid grip and should work great with gloves. I had to cu a far amount off to fit the single finger levers though. they would be a fair amount of work getting them on a thicker lever.

I want to use a good wax bashed lube but they all need at least 12 hours but morel like 24 hours to dry. that won't work on my commuters as I tend to do the chain at work. but I wonder if more time would be needed in winter? I can see using it on our tandem now we dont ride every day.

I have found the easiest way to do this is with some water based degreaser and an insulated bottle. I put the chain in the bottle I pour in the cleaner and boiling water and shake it then rinse it a couple times and the chain is cleaned inside and out.

I have checked it with other sources I find it pretty accurate. but only on cloudy days on sunny days ot reads the road temp.

no I find it pretty accurate. but it does show pavement temp and thats what your suffering when its hot.
